Road racers can get help from the new BS!!
Hey guys,
The car was down getting the BS transformation so I ask them to look into the cooling issues we have road racing. I ordered the new oil cooler and tranny cooler off the BS because they looked bigger than the ones we have stock. Well, they are and they are very easy to exchange. Not finished yet but I thought I would share with those that road race and want some heat relief. Hopefully it will all work out like planned.
Stock oil cooler vs BS:
Notice the stock tranny cooler just above the BS oil cooler he's holding.
New tranny cooler behind the oil cooler. Its wider and taller. At least twice the size. Yes they are held on by tie wraps but they aren't finished.
Stock tranny cooler and stock oil cooler:
He also made a duct for the passenger side oil cooler so it will get more air.
Hopefully between the larger oil cooler, much larger tranny cooler, and the new duct we have a chance for better cooling.

PRS (Performance Race Solutions) here in Sanford Florida is doing all the mechanical work. They are down the street from Sanford Paint and Body who is doing the physical work. These two shops work together. PRS is great at making or building anything you want. Terrible place to be close to. LOL They both do outstanding work and are highly respected in the racing world. Contact them direct for any pricing or quotes on the work. 407-878-5870.
The duct was made specifically for the new BS front bumper and any of those who are sporting the Revozport F1 DTM bumper because the passenger side cooler is blocked off by both of these style bumpers. THe stock bumper has a duct already.

I know this mod isn't for most but if you road race periodically this brake duct mod will help cool the front brakes.
Our frame is hollow and the toe hook goes right into the frame rail so there is a whole in the bumper already. They will put a matching hole in the other side and we'll put black mess wire over the openings so they will look like the other openings. I think it will work out well. Will provide good air flow to the front brakes for extended road racing laps. When I'm not racing you simply remove the flexible ducting. I realize this isn't for everyone but our cars are heavy and if we can cool down the oil temps, tranny temps, and brakes it will perform better all the way around.

Very cool project Keith. It's nice to see someone modifying their car for road racing and I'm sure with the additional cooling your will be able to run it harder and longer on the track. Best of luck and keep us posted.

Just an update on the cooling progress.
Since this picture was posted by someone having their car change colors I could get a good clear look at the passenger side cooler and ducting on the BS.
I believe that cooler is MUCH larger and has no fan. looks like it sits at a MUCH better angle and the ducting looks better also.
So much for custom ducting, CRAPP!!
I ordered the BS cooler, ducting, brackets, and plumbing so we'll see how easy it is to exchange. I'll keep you updated.
