Help Guys...Trade my C63 for new 2012 E63?
I have a great deal pending on a new 2012 E63 Biturbo (White on Black) with my beloved C63 in trade. $55K for my car in trade value with $15K off sticker on the new E63 with MSRP of $108K.
Watcha guys think?

Remember, the E is a tad bigger and the biturbo is more gas efficient and a bit, only a bit, quieter...
I would do the upgrade if you feel like the E feels the road and if you feel like it fits the look you want.

15k off is back of holdback, might be trunk money in the E- its a good deal and the M157 is THE engine right now in the Benz fam- a simple cautious tune will yield over 560 rwhp and a mid 120 trapper... remove the resonator and the engine sounds great (I came from a m156 with resonator and post cat delete).
What are the options on the car? You should have the premium leather which is a step up from the C and other nice interior amenities.
You wont regret.

I met freefall and saeed at the last track outing and got to ride copilot in freefall's Renntech tuned CLS63. Amazing to say the least, and the main reason I started shopping the E63 in the first place.

I think the E63 would be a nice step-up from the C63.

Yeah that's true. But in America you can afford everything lol. I mean I would use the word 'dream' if I was talking about a car that I can't afford like a Ferrari Italia or an Aventador. But yeah I guess that's just me

hmm...that is a tough choice, especially since you have spent so much on upgrades, and you already have very fast C63!
The E63 is a great car, but I would keep the C63 for another year or so and then buy something a bit more exotic next year. You have already taken a hit on the C63, so it won't depreciate drastically in another year. I love the performance of the E63 biturbo, but it is a bit too "plain". Now if you were able to get the kind of discounts we were seeing a couple of years ago, it would be a different story. None of this matters if you are loaded and a few tens of k's don't make a big difference to you.
That said, as car guys, we tend to make decisions using our hearts rather than our minds. I just try to buy an unneeded car at the lowest price I can get it for. That's how I justify it to myself .
Good luck! If you do end up buying the E63, you will have to give me a ride in it one day (I'm also in SoCal). Maybe I'll add it to my list of non-needed-but-wanted things.

It's funny because even if I could afford a 200K car, I think my dream cars are in the lower 100K range.

Ugh!!! Kinda wish I had never gone out looking for the E63 in the first place. Darn you Freefall for giving me a ride in your Renntech 2012 CLS63!!!

@xtyper,
Does the E63 have the performance package?
I like the performance package even though aftermarket can provide better gains.
How does the E63 handle compared to the C63? I wouldn't think the difference would be that big. Maybe more body roll? But, the E63 is more about straightline performance anyway.

NFW. The E class is heavier which is never a good thing. The 5.5 BiTurbo can most likely be tuned for more HP although with the turbo's built into the exhaust manifold there are limitations. It still has the problematic self adjusting suspension that always seems to break right when the warranty runs out. It's also very expensive to modify. The engine shuts off at stop lights to get higher MPG, but think what that does to your starter, battery, engine etc. If you need a comfortable backseat that bad, buy a Maybach 62.
