Hey guys,

Anyone knows that is a set of 19 rims and winter tires safe for Toronto winter?
And what is the detailed sizes for the rims and tires?
I have heard that for winters, it is better to use equal size rimes and tires for both the front and the rear on C63, it is right?

Anyway, thank you for response.

18" rim is better for winter, first, the tires are cheaper and better for the potholes here. I do have a set of 18" snow tires and rims and a 19" rims with Bridgestone R11 for sales if you are interest pm me for detail.

My Brother did it this past winter with his coupe. He mounted 235/35/19 all around on the stock wheels. The rear tire is stretched a little, but he had no problems what so ever...Although we did not have much of a winter in Toronto last year.

I ran 18s 235s Hankook W310s ... They were great. I still noticed alot of snow build up between the tire and the wheel well. I would imagine this would be worse with 19s.

Narrower is better snow.. you want tires to cut into the snow, not compress it. You compress it, it gets hard an turns ice like and you will just spin.

Obviously there is not too much difference between 18 and 19 from a width standpoint, but 18s, or even better, 17's if you can find any that fit over the brakes are your best option...

Actually, 4 spares would work too

Winter tires are soft so you risk in damaging your 19" wheels because profile is low.

18" non-staggered will work perfectly - just get a set of aftermarket rims for winter. 17" will not fit. 225/40-18 is recommended size for winters. Michelin Pilot, Dunlop 3D Sport, Nokian or, even Bridgestone Blizzak, work well for our winters. If you want to save, get Hankook iPike - not bad for the price.
Call me if you want, I'll get you setup for winter

Igor.

I wouldn't but only because the rims are expensive (damage from Canadian winters and potholes) and tire options are limited. If it were me, I would pick up a set of cheap 18" wheels and throw some 235/40-18s on them... hey, that is me because that's what I did!
