Opinions on RS5?
The gap is there because that is how the car is transported. I don't know if it is a wedge or spring but the elevated stance is to protect the suspension during the voyage from factory to dealer. When the dealer preps the car it will be gone.
personally i think c63's main advantage on torque gives more thrills and fun on daily driving and on highways and the sedan version is more practical than the rs5 coupe.
yet while ive never driven the rs5 i think the ride should be much better and awd will help a lot if you are in a snowing area. you will also save some tire money
and it looks better inside out
i think its really which of those unique traits of the car fit your need better

OP don't do it. You will regret your decision later.
No car in this price range is as fun as C63. Engine and the exhaust note is just incomparable. Sure the RS5 has much better seats and interior but still my vote is for keeping the car.

I test drove an S5 a few years ago and found it to be quite underwhelming, but that was a 354hp V8 with an auto transmission (not dual clutch). Not enough torque, and nothing at the high end either. The new RS5 doesn't have much torque, but it should be fun to drive if you like high revving cars. I'd like to test drive one when they have more than just a couple in SoCal. Don't think I would consider trading in my beloved C63 for it, but it would be nice to know what it feels like nonetheless.
I do like the way the Audi 5 coupes look compared to C class coupes though. Haven't seen an RS5 in person yet, but I bet it looks amazing!

My AWD Road Course experience is limited to my Evo that I took out a few dozen times, so not sure what AWD car you were driving.. :P
As much as many of you may disagree, I put a deposit down on a black on black RS5 limited edition. The car is optioned to the hilt.
Looking at coilovers, exhaust etc.. Already. I'll keep you updated

nice, i am looking to forward to reading about your thoughts when you take delivery. i really like the rs5, just not too keen on the lack of torque. what is the difference when you opt for the limited edition? special interior trim? or is there a performance difference too?

I have seen plenty of uber fast GTR's EVO's STI's and even a TTS that were as fast or faster than my car. If you want to see a car that understeers badly drive a C63 with the front tires cooked (which happens much to quickly in the summer). The scrubbing noise is like fingernails on a chalk board.
Proper suspension setup and an aggresive alignment can reduce the understeer issue for AWD track cars. And they can exit corners like nothing else

There is only 25 special editions in Australia which have the following extras
20" titanium wheels
Panoramic roof
Bang & Olufsen sound upgrade (14 speakers, 10 channel amp)
Black out pack (front grille window surrounds)
Sports Exhaust with matt black tips
Advanced Parking system with front & rear camera
Dynamic ride control
Auto dimming and folding exterior mirrors
Memory drivers seat
The only other option I would of liked is the RS bucket seats but they are a $6500 AUD option and have manual adjustment.

The lack of torque was definitely a concern in my decision but they look so good and was offered a deal I simply couldn't refuse as this is last years model (different headlights only).

Don't like that front. I was very keen on the RS5, but the near universal disdain for it by the automotive press, including some that I respect has me worried. I will test drive it. That being said, I came from a high revving V8 (M3) and love the sound and deep snarl of the M156. Further, I seem to be the only one here who doesn't think the Audi's interior looks better than the C63 (facelifted). I think they are on par (and both better than the M3). Also not a huge AWD fan...
That's an awesome looking car. MIne is exactly the same except for headlights and steering wheel (which I'll be changing for the flat bottom wheel).
If its sheer power and torque your after, then the C63 wins hands down. Main reason I changed is my car is out of warranty in a year and they don't offer extended warranties in Australia so best to sell with new car warranty and they offered me very good money for my C63 (putting back to standard) plus a massive saving of new car price.
If I don't like it, I'll buy another C63.
Does he like it?

Congrats on your purchase. I'm sure you will be very happy with your choice.

Not universal disdain. Here is one of many positive reviews out there. I think that the C63 has more brute force, fun factor. But the RS5 has a better gearbox and is far more unique/rare on the road (unless comparing to BS). I am a bit frustrated in my search for BS so went to Audi dealership this morning to look at one they got in. The other thing with this car is that I think it looks MUCH better in person than it does in pictures/videos. It looks far squattier, kind of a short fatty hunkered down look. Very sweet in person.
I am still on the hunt for a C63, I have already experienced Audi RS cars. But they are fantastic in my opinion if you are interested in the look, interior, sounds, finesse, stability of quattro, etc. Will never be the fastest cars. And for what its worth I would never own an Audi unless it was an RS car. That is where their magic is...
You must have owed a S4, RS4, Q7 or Allroad.. i know.. I felt the pain..
Actually thinking of it, i could swear they were built by Jaguar or Triumph
If it was not for my Triumph Gt6 race car, i would have labeled them as the worst F*** car manufacturers ever to exist.. That honor now is bestowed to by beloved GT6.. there i said it and it felt good!

Coming from an owner of several Audis and Mercedes, Audis fall apart! Dont get me wrong, theyre excellent drivers cars and the interiors are beautiful but just NEVER own one out of warranty (or past 60,000 miles for fear of extreme interior rattles). That being said, Im sure it will be equally as good as my 2007 RS4 but I would still take a C63 for the brute rawness and the substantially better reliability. Im not too fond of the 2009+ styling of Audis.
I much prefer my B7 RS4 to the B8 RS4 both styling and performance wise

I'm wicked jealous would have loved to go that route when I ditched my c63.
