Quick Spare Tire Question
Hey guys. I looked at my spare tire for the first time today and saw that it's a dinky little donut. In the off chance that I ever get a flat, I'm thinking about picking up a full size OEM rim. Since they are staggered, I wanted to know which one I would be better off getting.
I figure the rear tire is more likely to go flat than the front from wear, but if I were to get a full size rear tire as the spare, would I also be able to put that on the front in case I ever need to? Or would it be better to just get a front wheel, because I am assuming I can put that one on the back in case that goes flat. Thanks!

that's fine, but I'll probably just get a new wheel from a dealer. my question really is if it's ok to use either the front size rim on the back or to use the rear size rim on the front for a bit when getting a flat.

In theory having different sized wheels on the rear would not do the differential much good. However as a get-you-home measure and assuming you did not do tight turns with the power on I reckon you would be fine.

my wife bananas! :D
if you are set on getting a full tire as a spare. go with the front tire spec. Reason being is that you can put the front specced tire in the front or rear and have no problems to get you home. the other way around and depending on your staggered setup you will get rubbing etc.
