So I had two mates of mine stayntheweekend and we went for a drive to palm beach just north of Sydney today. We were in the C63 BS, Brabus C63, and SL63. Anyhow, I was in the front of our little convoy and stupidly out of habit hammered it through an orange light, leaving my mates behind. I continued on down the road and kept looking in my rear view mirror for my friends...and then i saw it....I couldn't quite believe it...and had to do a double take...could it be!!! I pulled over so it could catch up and pulled into the traffic just as it hammered passed, with Brabus C63 biting at its heels changing from one lane to the next behind and side by side as my friend tried to get a better look at the beast.....


We caught up with him at cafe in Palmie and had a chat to the lucky owner. These cars were never sold in Australia and getting it registered was a nightmare apparently. He brought it with him from South Africa last year and it was flawless condition with a mere 6000kms on it!! I have looked at importing one myself (Sultan of Brunei has 2 for sale in RHD on his website) as this model is my favourite AMG of all time and I found it to be a bureaucratic nightmare. Anyway I gave the owner my card and said call me if you ever decide to sell it. Funnily he complained that after trailing Brabus in particular, which has an extremely audible exhaust note, his car wasn't aggressive sounding enough. This car is 1 of 100 and only 1 of 40 globally in RHD. Rarest of the rare, CLK DTM AMG!!!

It's 5.5lt supercharged 580hp. Sultan of Brunei has 2 for sale both under $270k with around 8000km on it. $1m seems frankly insane...although the convertible might be worth it....!! It would destroy a stock Black Series

The CLK-DTM and the CLK-GTR are 2 cars I would love to see in person.
I see Volkswagen Veyrons-Oh! Sorry. Bugatti Veyrons, Ferraris, Lambos, Porsche Carrera GTs, and Mclarens all of the time, but you never see either of these.

I came across one of these a few years back in Burbank, whist on holiday. Some friends and I were checking out Autobooks, Aerobooks, a well known car book store. Apparently Jay Leno stops in there once in a while. Anyway, when we came out this gorgeous car was sitting there, the owner had just arrived and graciously spent 20 minutes with us letting us pore over it. It's about the only car that makes any Black Series AMG look ordinary!

What's the difference between the CLK-DTM and CLK-GTR in terms of engine spec and hp? And which one is better as far as handling?

GTR has 6.0L V8 or V12, while the road-going version of GTR has 6.9L V12. Not sure about the hp and tq, though.

Wow, some people have some serious dedication to that car to buy three copies (Dotcom). I can never bring myself to buy more than one copy no matter how much I like it.
