E320 with Quads
These quads looks so bad in real life (i phone pic not very clear), I wonder why anyone would put them on an, otherwise, good looking car. They are so obviously fake because the inner circles just "hang there" not connected to any pipe

There is nothing wrong with AMG parts on a non amg.. There isnt a problem with parts on anything? Some people dont understand what posing really is.. Its pretending to be something your not. I have C55 wheels on my 350. ( I kept them when I sold the C55). SO what? There is no posing unless I put A AMG badge on the vehicle and make it look like something its not.
My wrx I had. I had STI parts on it. It still wasnt an sti. VIN number is what makes a car what it is.. Doesnt matter if I put a 2jz motor. Doesnt make it a supra..

I understand AMG owners disliking non-AMGs "posing". But people need to stop downing the C-Class. I bought my W204 in 2007 when the C63 wasn't even available and I am very happy with my car. The point- Be Happy With What You Have and Let Others Do the Same. You have an incredible car and rather than enjoy it- you are too concerned about others trying to imitate. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery so shut-up and be flattered.

I get slightly miffed about it because I worked hard and saved up to get my car. To me its something I earned and am very proud of owning it. When I see an AMG badge slapped on, like last night an older E-class with an AMG badge and license plate (had AMG rims thats about it) to me its not right.
As for C-class cars that have AMG badges stuck on, usually if im pulling up on them, a quick downshift next to them suffices for me, that gets their attention and then a slight head shake.

I think that some dealers are badging them also. A couple weeks ago I saw a brand new CLS550 with AMG badges and an AMG license plate frame (dealer plate was Calabasas MBZ). I snapped a pic, but my phone went for a swim in Maui the next day.

I whole heartedly agree that's why you need to get something that can't be copied like a Ferrari or a Lamborghini lol. I have seen a regular mustang with Shelby stickers all over or a regular 3 series with M3 badges.

Those car arrived at the dealer with the AMG badges, theres been speculation that it was done at the dock at the request of MBUSA since a CLK55 wasnt available yet. Its safe to say that the owners of these cars didn't put AMG badges on their cars.

1999 E55 AMG
Saw a C300 AMG this morning on my way to work on the 210 in Sunland. guy came flying up from behind me and as he got close he slowed and got beside me and as he passed I saw the AMG on his C300. I caught up and pulled up beside him to give it a once over and shook my head. His windows were tinted so I didn;t get to see the smile melt away from his face as he realized I knew he was a "poser".
