Supercharged C63 wheel and tire help.

i just supercharged my 2011 C63 and it is a beast. I ran an 11.79 @ 118mph at 5000 ft above sea level. I am so impressed with the Weistec blower. I am running Nitto nt555r's. 285/40/18. I am not hooking up at all of the launch. i get a 1.76 60ft while spinning and I know I can do much better than that. I have to launch from a very low stall around 1200-1500rpm. I want some wider wheels and need help. Does anyone know the widest rear wheels I can put on my car? Also any recommendations on better tires than the 555r's?

If you can afford the blower, you can get some custom made 17" rims from forgeline, then put some 275/40 hoosier drag radials on.

Excellent run although concerning the extreme conditions

+1 Those times are pretty good and you have a good 60'.

For wider tires you will most likely need to roll the rear fenders to accomodate the increased width. I've seen people put 355 width tires on the rear. Slicks will definitely help but make sure you do a proper burn out before taking off. You might also want to look into a skinnier front tire and losing non-essential weight from the car.

Are you running headers or stock exhaust? I assume stock exhaust?

I ran headers, tune, race gas, -200lbs and did 11.9 at 118mph. DA was around 3000ft.

But on topic, like even money said, get some 17inch rims and run Hooiser dot drags, you should be able to dead hook with those.

I was dead hooking and couldn't get into the 1.7's on 60'...

I have MHP long tubes and mids. I also have a weistec torque converter. I am also using pump gas 91 octane. Thank you all for the suggestions. I will check out the 17's with the hoosiers.

The DA and the altitude are two different things. He might be at 5000ft with a DA of 9000 if the conditions are bad.

I have a pair of CCW classics with hoosier drag radials for sale. But to fit you need to change your brake pads

I realize that, was the OP at 5000ft altitude + DA??

I just assumed 5000ft DA. My mistake.

What about something like this we did custom for a customer wanting a drag setup for his turbocharged Corvette a while back?

Wow, thats brutal, I retract all my previous statements. I thought we had it bad here at 4700ft DA.

Your racing on Mount Everest lol.

CCW will do 17 inch rims for 1000$.

I got lucky and found some knock off 17s for 200 bucks woo. Def get Hooiser DOT drag radials. They are really good.

Will 17's fit over the rear rotors? I have the p31 package and I am not sure of the size of the rotors.

Maybe the best idea would be our FMS wheels, they start from 18's to above, price range is similar, custom fitment is included.
