Almost got my hands on a C63 BS alloc

Not going to say I "got" anything until I actually sign the purchase contract and keys are handed to me. I've had the rug pulled out from under me way too often during this saga for me to call it. But yes, secured.
I'll be driving it back home from NY. Though, I'm debating what to do once I hit the 2k miles mark (when the required rear axle diff oil change is due). I may just drive it past the break-in point, then meet up with the JP Logistics guys somewhere and have it shipped the remainder of the way.
Will update more once I have more details. It's got an end of Sept / beginning of Oct production date. So I suspect delivery will be early Nov, possibly.

As far as the LSD oil change is concerned......I don't know how much further you would have to travel, but as you won't be giving the car a hard time, & it appears that most of your trip will be just cruising, that LSD will not be "working", for most of the time......, on a long distance "trip", the LSD would not be doing anywhere near as much as normal driving around town etc, so I reckon you'll be fine......but anyway.....I guess the Dealer will advise?
Cheers, Pickles.

Ah, very good point, Pickles. It will, indeed, be mostly cruising. Also, I suspect some of the states I'll be driving through will have snow/ice on the road so I won't be doing much spirited driving on this trip (or perhaps not given that it's all Interstate freeway driving).
But yeah, I'll definitely have a chat with someone in Service before I drive off.

Oh, that reminds me. One thing I want added is the Active Rear Axle Diff Oil Cooler from the B25 Track Package. I sent a note to my local service advisor requesting the part no., price, etc.
Should be simple enough to install from what I'm told on here since it's just sits in the rear apron.
Thankfully, without the B25 pkg, I don't have to worry about the Dunlop Sport Maxx tires coming as default.

GrnLantern, I hope u got this one secured once for all.. And on the delivery day, u can smack the GM with ur cheque book. Lol
On a serious note, if I were u I would have the car shipped to California. Too risky to drive the BS in possible snow or freezing temperature with high performance tires.

Yeah, that's *exactly* what I'm worried about. I think I'll drive 1/3 of the way, get past break-in, then load it up on a truck and fly back (myself) the rest of the way.

Random (but sort of related) question: What does it mean in NetStar when it says "Priority 3"? Most of the 2013's are listed as Priority 1, there's a few 2's and a few 3's.
I tried making assumptions based on Production Date, but there are some 3's with Production Dates earlier than some 1's... So it leaves me slightly confused.
Anyone know?

I suspect there's not a whole lot I can do with the VIN at this point, but at least there is one and I know the car's real. I suspect until a VIN is assigned, they could still cancel the build if things go awry (they being the factory).

I will likely add the AMG Illuminated Door Sills (120) as an accessory at the dealership, and if I can figure out what the part no. is for the Rear-Axle Diff Cooler (from the B25 Track Package), I will be adding that too. No one seems to know the part #.
I plan to also do these: http://www.cksperformance.com/index....ducts_id=20335

I'm sure you're already trying to tee those things up. Surely some dealership around here has enough ability to figure out how to obtain the parts for you, or would be willing to do an install after the fact. I'd just call around (again).

Indeed. I suspect it shouldn't be a problem, once I secure the damn part #. I don't see why it's so hard, heh. I have three parts guys (at different dealerships) trying to get me that info. As for installation, my service manager at my normal service dealership is more than happy to take my money and have his techs install it. :o

I know the trials and tribulations you have gone thru to get this car.... trust me here- its so well worth the wait.
I actually had to go to the same place two days in a row this week. The path was wide open with big sweepers and long straights for about 19 miles. I took the CLS63TT the first day. I have a tune on the car so its pushing about 560 whp on a Dyno Dynamic; its fast. I drove the C63BS the 2nd day and it was no comparo. Yes the CLS is faster but the CBS is way ahead in fun factor and driver involvement/reward IMHO.
