that would unfortunately eliminate every C class they've given out considering the new report that just came out about its crash test safety rating

If you're referring to Walnut Creek they do have C250 loaners. Maybe you get the loaner if you're there under warranty? Maybe the enterprise is just the outfit to rent out those C250's? Not sure, never had to leave my car for more than a few hours. I have seen them there though and seen other customers drive away and return them.

Hmm...I'll ask later this month when I take my car in. Gotta get rid of those damn rattles!

When you say "their" fault, I presume you mean MB. If the car is in for service, it is the manufacturer's issue and the dealer is just servicing it. You need to remember that MB doesn't provide the loaner, the dealer does and pays for the cost of doing so. The group at "fault" is not the same as the person providing the loaner.

Fair enough, just feel like I'm being treated the same as someone who paid $12,349 for a car. They would get the same loaner. Anyway my part is backordered so I will have to book in for service again next week. Hopefully I get a MB product for a loaner that time.

my wife bananas! :D
interesting. I've never had a problem with loaners. The lowest in the MB totem pole I've received as a loaner was a C250. the MB dealers I've dealt with over the years (5 of them) all gave me loaners. you just need to request and book ahead and tell them your expectations (for me, I dont want a B class or a smart car).

I only take auto 11 when my car is serviced. The same car my father always took.

Lucky you Fare!! For insurance purpose, the dealership will (or should) not loan a car to driver under 21.

You never get a loaner here. They rent you a car from Enterprise (usually a ****can). The excuse is that the insurance deductible is $10K.

That's weird. I get a loaner every time I have been in from the same dealer. I sign a rental agreement but that is administrative only and it is always one of their B class cars.

The dealership has to buy there loaner cars from MB, after they're used as a loaner car they go into the pre-owned fleet which is why usually you get a C class. Some dealerships do not have a large enought fleet of loaners in that case your service advisor should help you out with a rental. Also some insurances (state farm) do not cover loaners.
