My new ride is coming
Hello everyone,
I've recently sold my 300C SRT8 which was modified to 470hp otherwise completely stock and have been looking for my next car for the last 3 weeks. In the past I've mostly been for Japanese cars and have owned 2 Supras, a 3000GT, a RX7, a R34 GTR, a Celica GT4, a MR2 turbo, and a Holden Commodore SS.
For my next car I decided to go German and at first couldn't decide between a M3 and a C63 however opted for the C63 given it's a saloon so more apporpriate for work as well as having more raw power. It won't be a track car so will have no issues with cornering which I understand the M3 wins at.
After viewing around 10 C63s over the last couple of weeks, I finally made my mind up and put down a deposit last night. I am thrilled!
2008 C63 AMG
Mileage: 47,000 kilometers
Colour: Silver exterior with grey leather and carbon fiber interior
Rims: 19 inch black AMG
Exterior: Carbon fiber front lip, bumper vents, bonnet vents, rear diffuser, boot spoiler and widened rear arches
I should take possession of this beast on Tuesday.
While I do know a little about cars, I was wondering which threads you recommend I read to become more accustomed with my new ride.
Thanks

sweet car and grats!
Any thoughts on mods?
as for threads, I found just spending a couple hrs going through the forum with a beer in hand was not only informative but also gave me a broad idea of what is possible

Thank you guys.
I am absolutely in love and never thought I'd ever get a C63 so getting one with this already done to it is a dream come true.
I just found out it's a Dad's C63 CF hood. If I was to get a stock C63, all of these mods is exactly what I would have done however I do think I am going to get the two front bonnet vents painted the same colour as the car (silver). As it is, it's just a little bit too loud for me.
With regards to mods. So far all my money is going on the car so I guess I will only get round to engine / performance mods in around 6 months time if I do get bored with it - but I don't see that happening
Am glad I found this site!
