The personal tuner allows you to tune remotely. We do offer custom tuning remotely for bolt on applications but usually there isn't a need for that. We recently did some for a Black Series client so it is available if you have full exhaust, headers, etc.

PM sent.
These cars don't need timing to make power, nor is that recommended.
Also, what parameters are adjusted to make power in these cars? Where does MB handicap them most? Do you adjust the airflow tables to an altered commanded power enrichment value? I read something about the throttle not opening past 75% or the like, I assume that is corrected...
It seems like no one really talks about the technical aspects or details regarding these cars, just like to drive them. :-)
I tune a lot of GM products with HP Tuners and don't know anything about the MB tune. I'm just curious and will most likely pick up a handheld to run a tune in my C63.
Also, can you talk more to the flash counter question? How does your handheld work? Does it flash the actual ECU like domestic cars? Does the flash counter only trigger off a Write Entire rather than a Write Calibration only? You can flash and reflash stock and retain warranty? What adjustments to you make to the trans tune?

The timing values from factory are not really aggressive when compared to other vehicles in the same class. It is important to remember that ignition values are relative. On this motor you do not need it to make the power. Several maps in the ECU are modified, ie throttle, limiters, etc.. Other obvious tuning areas, ie timing and fuel there are other things that need to be modified to allow the car to make power under safe conditions.
What do you alter for the 100 octane tune from the 93 octance tune?
