...where it seems like your car is super popular?

Forgive me for reveling in the lime light, but today just seemed like one of those days. Here's the run down:

1. I park on Van Ness to attend a wedding. After we're done, I see two guys crouching near my car. At first, I'm on the verge of panic when I realize they're just paparazzi.

2. I mention what's happening to some friends before we go to the reception and I apparently get a crew to take a ride. The guy and 2 girls LOVE the car.

3. Just before we took off, a guy and girl who parked in front of me in a new Evoque comes up to my window to tell me his friend just picked one up and deleted the resonator and put in an exhaust. I give him an obligatory rev and he's stoked.

4. I give a friend of the groom's a ride back to El Cerrito and he's loving the power and sound of the car.

5. On the way home, I take a stroll through downtown WC and at a light, some younger kid to my right revs his 90's Accord and points so that he can hear my engine. I do a nice loud rev and he and his girl are impressed. He says he loves my car and then I hear an Escalade of girls to my left giggling, either because they like the car or they were totally caught off guard.

I share your pain. I started to part mine out and today I found out it was in a magazine and now I'm having second thoughts.

Thanks, bud. Again, I have to give the credit to Vivid Racing. However, it's just neat and amusing that it gets that much attention. All of our cars are special, but it seems like most people turn into paparazzi around super cars, so it's nice that my vehicle gets that level of attention at times.

I get the occasional thumbs up from ricers once in a while. Or you see some kid riding shotgun do a triple take. But it really makes my day when I get a thumbs up from an M3

The stares and positive feedback I get for my car is crazy. I can't go anywhere without it getting noticed and given respect, and quite frankly people get intimidated by it. In traffic, people will keep their distance because it just looks so mean. From ages 5 to 80, people love my CUSTOMized CL and do a triple take, I've never seen a Mercedes (or any car) quite like it tbh. I truly do appreciate the adoration, but sometimes it gets quite annoying lol, especially when I just want to run in a store/gas station to grab an iced tea or Red Bull. The worst part is when people ask me how much money I put into it... I just don't know anymore, the ENTIRE car - every panel, has been modified lol -- And it's not even finished yet. But at the end, I do appreciate it and know that other's appreciate it as well.
One of the coolest compliments I've gotten was from a big time magazine car guy that asked me to do a spread (I declined as it's not 'finished' yet). He said if I took my car to a car show and parked it across the street, everybody attending the show would leave and cross over the street to check my car out
AMG Forever!

Love hearing stories like this. The car is so special because it doesn't yell "hey look at me!" Yet, it has a personality that's hard to ignore even from non-enthusiasts.

Ahaha that's wussssup! I'd drool all over your car too though. I get too much attention, surprisingly. Actually annoying, but I think its only because the barolo red really stands out.

That red color and yellow/orange color will really make them stand out. I usually don't notice reactions surrounding my car until my wife pointed them out afterward. It's because I'm mostly focused on maneuvering the car that I don't see anything else...kind of like those horses with blinders on their eyes so they concentrate only on the race.

Lol! I am already bitten by the mod bug! I had promised myself that i will hold off any purchase till next year. Not so sure any more
It was great meeting you and everyone. I must reiterate: ur car looks awesome! In fact, seeing all the other cars i felt privileged to own the same car but also felt ordinary at the same time!
Thanks to Jon for leading in the unique E63 and to mike too for making sure that i dont hear my exhaust at all
Next time i ll definitely stay for dinner. I hope we do this more often.
