Strap In...2014 E63
And the E63 m157 already puts out 550hp with the PP, so what's so earth shattering here?? I know the 0-60 number is a big improvement, but I have a feeling the overall driving dynamics won't feel much different--just my .02.
I was hoping for 600+hp and lighter weight. The biggest reason I bought the C63 over the E63 was that the weight and feel of the E didn't tickle my senses the same way the lighter and more "nimble" C did. The new DCT is an improvement that is well overdue for the entire AMG lineup.
I guess I can go back to dreaming of a 600hp E63 coupe with all wheel drive

I'm sure the 2014 E63 will look great and be a bit faster than its predecessor, but this thread may have gotten my hopes up too high.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmThe Best of Mercedes & AMG

Other than that, the only full electric vehicle confirmed for the US is the B-Class..
E400 Hybrid will be coming as well.

I'm not 100% on the A-Class, there are too many new products coming that were discussed (something like 39 between now and 2020) and that's one that I can't remember. Looks like I'm going to be spending a lot of money on car related items lol...
I didn't really expound on my initial comment on the B-Class, but it will only be available in e-cell form.
As to the CLA, it will debut Q3 of next year in tandem with the S-Class and will initially be front wheel-drive only, to then launch as a 4MATIC in Q2 of 2014.

As far as styling is concerned, AMG is going for a very aggressive appearance in an effort to shake the stigma of a glorified E-Class. The front and rear bumpers, headlights and the side skirts will receive some alterations, with the front bumper resembling the Ferrari F430's bumper with big rounded air intakes. The headlights will be a one-piece unit with LEDs and bi-xenon, while the side skirts are completely different and more pronounced, featuring a trim piece that runs along the car’s length.
The 2014 E63 AMG is scheduled to go into production in Q3 2013.
What the f*ck are they doing not building an E63 Coupe.
I believe not having this very car is sending some potential buyers to other brands.
it will have one hell of a waiting list if that's truly the case, because everyone in the AMG market is going to focus on the new most radical change ..
don't get me wrong, i'd love for all of this to be true, but i dont think it fits in mercedes' product line or market segmentation .. it would disturb other AMG sales.
Also, if Mercedes themselves supposedly advertise that it does the 0-60 in 3.4 seconds, then it must be a tad faster than that too as we have found out with the PP coupes
Of course the way things are going, such cars could simply be blocked by the EPA.
