Pretty good is definitely an understatement. The times that beast is putting down are ridiculous.

This. I don't know why people are complaining so much. Still got that V8 exhaust note, better mpg, same (or better) hp and torque, and the ability to make loads more with just exhaust + tune. Also, lighter and better weight balance. I guarantee it will be a "better" car all around.

The 3.8l 911 Turbo S redlines at 6800rpm. The 4.0l 911 GT3 redlines at 8500rpm. The bigger, normally aspirated motor in this example revs much higher.

Well that's a race car engine in the GT3 haha

But that is why I said they tend to rev higher, there are always exceptions.

Honda S2000 being one of my favorites
New M3 revs pretty damn high too

IMO, the car sounded like CRAP in the video!!! I really hope they tune the sound on the new M3 as the car in the video sounded liked a Civic with a fart can.

This will not be a problem. BMW is dedicated to true performance. So, they will likely record the engine at all rpm levels in a lab and then pipe that noise through the car's stereo system. This will dramatically improve the driving experience.
