Displacement is not the end all and be all of things. Turbos with minimal lag, a flat torque curve, a decent curb weight, higher rpm and widened rear tires should make the new generation C63 more fun to drive.

Although I would definitely miss the roaring sound of a 6.2 V8 specially on cold starts.

I was hoping for a detuned 5.5 TT. And wasn't the next possibility talked about as being the 4.4 L? 4.0 L has zero appeal to me regardless of the output.

totally agree w/ you, with the crazy direction MB is heading with the C.. I'm probably gonna get the new E and store away the C. Gonna be a memorable and valuable car in 10 years

I'll wait it out a bit longer before I write it off. I don't think AMG is a bunch of idiots that would put out a C63 that is worse than the previous gen. It does sound like the muscle car days are over though. I'd still take the 4.0TT with DCT and AWD as long as they shave a good 200 lbs off the current Weight.

Probably because they're 4.7 TT's

I'm sure they're trying to go for some serious weight savings and improved fuel economy with more power....and that's the future

It will still have a boatload more torque than the 6 in the upcoming M3
