You have it backwards. The Engine serial number is driven from the model year. So, to explain further, head bolts were changed after serial numbers higher than 60657 on the end of the number. Your serial number is 156985 60 041696. So, to be completely clear, you have the old bolts.

Again, all 2010 and older have the old bolts from the factory.

Engine number is 27297731564763. I trust you know that an E350 has no engine relation to 63 class cars with the M156 engine. So, the head bolt issue has nothing to do with your car.

Your engine number is 156985 60 026252. This is well before the change over to the new style head bolts. You will need to pull a valve cover to inspect to see if they have been changed out by a previous owner.
