What does your dealer charge for extended warranty?
i thought members could contribute of what their dealership charges for extended warranty and whether it was negotiable. i believe you can call around and try and shop for the best price but this list should help negotiate and know where to call for a great deal.

here is my contribution. price as of 9/26/2012

$3395 that added 2 years and 25K miles so 2/75
I wonder if I can go back and renegotiate it? I know I have a right to "cancel" it which they will give me a full refund.

You can get a full refund if the warranty hasn't kicked in yet. After that, you can still get prorated refund.

Is the new auto extended Warranty from MB the exact same coverage as a CPO warranty from MB ? I bought a 2012 CPO car in Sept/2012. CPO coverage is 5yr/100,000 after the original 4yr/50,000mi is over. On top of the 5/100,00 CPO which was no charge with the car, I purchased an extended CPO warranty of 6yr/120,000 for $2200. The dealer offered it for $2900 during the negotiations and I was able to bargain down to $2200. This was an internet deal from Boston. The sale price was non-negotiable and reasonable. 2012 coupe sticker $68,000 , 1800 mi. , sale price $60,000. Sat at dealer for 2 months prior to my purchase. Orig used price was $62,800 , they have one of those computer programs that drops the price every couple weeks a car sits on the lot. ..... I could have bought 7yr/ 130,000mi for about $1500 more.
I am happy I can really drive an exotic car for alot of miles with no major surprises. I used to turn my nose up at extended warranties cause they'd always find a way to weasel out of covering claims.
Now I'll have to see how my homeowners insurance covers the new roof I need on my home after hurricane Irene shredded it up.
Be safe to all you folks living in the aftermath of the storms, there are still plenty of trees ready to fall during the next rain or winds.

My 2009 had 21700 in June when I bought it.
I negotiated a CPO (+1 year from now), then bought an additional 2 years to 135k miles for $3999.
I'll put 17k miles or so on each year and plan to own this a long while.
Is this a decent price or should I renegotiate?

i'm near the end of my warranty and i'm still on the fence...
if i purchase one, i'm thinking of going with the 1 year/ 100k extension... this would make my warranty 5 year/ 100k. i've had the car for about 30 months and i'm at 49300... so with the amount i drive, getting 75k is not going to work...
the best price i'm getting at my dealer is $3629 + tax = $3928.39... should i? shouldn't i?

The head bolt failure is scary at $25k cost but how likely?... No stats.
These AMG parts are so expensive. I had a $600 repair a month after I bought the car.
You'll get alot of opinions here....
I say if the $ are no big deal to you, get it for sanity and be done.
Otherwise the odds are on your favor to not do it or they wouldn't do it.

i have records of the tech who said that and also records of emails with my advisor saying the same. so i'm hoping if something were to go wrong after my factory warranty expires, mercedes would step up and try to make good since i've got all this proof and we all know the problem is out there...
