I did my winter wheels last year! They held up very well but it was a ***** to take off!! -I prefer just painting stuff now (*Note I own my car -not sure of particular lease rules) but that does look better than stock.

Dont do the whole car!!! After seeing what this **** did to my rims after taking it off its not worth it. Long story short I had to melt it with WD-40 and scrub it off with steel wool. I couldnt imagine getting it off a car. Any of the chemicals used to get it off would surely damage the paint.

I prefer to paint. In MY experience, it is a better job and holds up better. All depends on who the wrapper(ha,ha)/painter is. My grille is painted, 3 coats, not a chip or scratch in over 2 years.
My 2 cents.

How much would it cost to have it properly repainted?

Best option for the grill is to wrap it. No chipping or peeling. Plastidip is good for emblems that are a PIA to take off and paint or wrap.

I always like to use plasti dip on small pieces. It provides the chance to return to stock or original. On black I have always seen the big pieces get this sort of brown-ish fade to it. Only on wheels or anything larger always in the sun light. I did finally see a dipped car in person. It looked pretty bad.. They say it can be the sprayer. I have never had a problem peeling it off before.
