C63 Black Series Style hoods for 2008-2011 and 2012+ now available in Carbon Fiber.
I will have two for the earlier models 2008-2011 and two for the 2012+ by the end of January 2013. PLEASE let me know if you are interested in one of these four. I want to get these out and into the market to build interest. I will work with you on the freight if you want one of these original four.
The price will be the same as the original hoods of $1595 plus freight.
Thank you again to all who already have a hood from me!!
I will do my best to make what you guys want and meet your needs.

Thanks again,
Keith
PS: Happy Thanksgiving!!

I just received your original hood design TODAY via DGL. I wish I would have know you had the BS series under design/construction!! I might have considered it.
However, i just unwrapped and took a look at the louvered hood. SPECTACULAR!!!
It looks to be stellar. I am very pleased and it took no time to receive.
I want to thank you many, many times for the time you put in on R&D. The quality is unreal. I hope it installs without a hitch. You are one of the men to look up to in every way. It is going to be fun to install and a lot cooler. I am worried about the rain. Will it keep the engine bay water-free? I cannot thank you enough for the hood. Kudos my man, kudos.

OH n btw, i would need the retro-fit version and would actually want it in non-carbon fiber if possible so I can paint it to colour match. Anyway that can happen? Any difference in pricing?

It will be this hood in carbon fiber.

Unfortunately they are not made yet so I don't have pictures yet. As soon as these four are done I'll post pictures. Thank you for your interest.
I unfortunately haven't had a chance to view either yet.

Thanks!

The original louvered/vented hood will remove heat the best. They both will be a good choice.

Lots more pictures:

If heat removal is your desire, the original design wins, hands down!!
If you only are making the BS hood for the 2012+, then please let me know anyway as my ultimate goal is heat dissapation and weight reduction.
Thanks.
Please let Keith chime in. Of course this is all just opinion, but DAD, do you agree?
If I were going to paint the entire hood then I would get the FRP. Personally, I really like the edges painted to match the car and leave the center portion carbon fiber but thats just me.
Once again, Its really a personal choice.

I just want weight savings and vents and whatever material the hood is made in --as long as it is light and strong-- is fine by me.
Maybe I'll get the interior of the vents left in CF and the rest of the hood painted... the possibilities are endless. Maybe I'll paint it just to spite those who believe in the holiness of carbon fibre.

Excuse the f*ck out of me. I was just trying to help, and "kind of" echoed DAD's opinion. I just worked with him on a hood, so was just trying to help you make a decision. Figured I would help/save you some questions. I don't care what you do!!! I don't give a damn about CF!! IT"S YOUR CAR!!! This forum is all in the name of help.

Thanks for the input.
I do have to say this black series hood looks awesome, do you still have a pre-facelift available, or was this a snooze & lose kinda thing?
My 2 cents though, totally agree the edges look great color matched to the car. was trying to picture this w/ iridium silver. Probably not as striking as red though.
Thanks,
B
