Thanks for making those installation videos. They are extremely helpful! If I may suggest, I've realized that when you are recording and you move your camera toward an area of attention and it does not focus properly. If you make a new video it would be much smoother and clearer if you had auto focus running or you refocused the camera after moving in close.

Nope, everything you need to install will be included with your camera. Even the wire for Finevu products are long enough to reach from windshield to trunk on GL, ML, X6s.

It has very small internal battery which would only last to shut itself down. Power Kit also does not have internal battery.

Power Kit serves to cut off power if it detects that the battery is going below 11.8V.

I like the profile of the BlackVue cameras but I heard they're prone to overheating. Is that true? Are the FineVu cameras similarly afflicted?

Good to know FineVus are not plagued by overheating. I read a review about Blackvue's DR400 claiming that it can't be restarted after overheated shut-down and the owner's got to wait for half an hour or so until its built-in capacitance fully discharged.

Order placed yesterday, hopefully it'll arrive before my trip to San Fransisco.

1 camera with a black outer ring for north american market this one is more discrete and the other which has a golden color outer ring is more noticeable?

is it only a design change between both cameras or there are other things that differ?

if there is no difference between both cameras I want one with a black outer ring for more discrete fitting.

Hello, we first received the golden ring version. Many of our customers and people who were waiting for this device were disappointed at the fact that it is so awkward with the golden ring. We told Finevu about this issue and they decided to make all of their North American version in Black ring We only have black ring version and there is no software difference between the two. Just the ring in black
