The top speed 258km/h (250km/h) is reached in 5th gear about 6000rpm, so there should be plenty to go, if not limited. Would be interested to know the real top speed with the limiter removed. Has anyone done this before and like to share your experience? Thanks.

 

One person before had mentioned about an unlimited W211 E63 easily reaching 196mph.

 

I've reached 300km/h without any modifications.
Just limiter taken off.

 

Who did that for ya? Just remove the limiter with no tune?

I easily hit my limiter at 280(P31) & I'm completely stock, I figure 300-310 without.

 

The C63 will go well above 200mph with just a few mods.
It will obviously go 200mph stock with the limiter removed but that will take an ECU flash of some kind.

 

My MB dealer did it for me.
I didn't ask how they did it but I think through STAR software.

 

The C63 coupe can really break 200mph if unrestricted?

Why was Ford making a big deal out of the new GT500 being able to do it at 6XXhp? Didn't MT or C&D try and only reach 196?

Sorry to ruin the party guys, but a speed delimited stock C63 with or with out P31 is never gunna hit 200hp unless you're dropped of a cliff with a strong tail wind. That's not to say you can't mod one to get to the double century figure, but it's not just with a tune and a bolt on exhaust. Ask Dad he has just "a few" mods .

 

I did once 187 mph (301 km/h) with tune only it was easy in a C63

 

so what is this than mate? the c63 does +-200mph real speed would be a little below. still very fast

 

ISTR reading/being told that as part of the PP the limiter is moved from 155mph to 300kph. Either way, mine (with the PP) showed 180mph easily when I took it to Italy just after I bought it (it was showing around 2k miles, so maybe still tight?). Felt like it had a LOT left - still pulling hard

 

You guys have *****...this thing still pulls so hard after 130 I just don't have the guts to push it any further...and I've only hit that speed a few times on empty highway stretches.

 

That was the reason I stopped at 180 - I bottled it! I'm used to (slightly less) speed on a quiet road early in the morning on the bikes. This was mid afternoon on an Autostrada, with Jamiroquai on the CD and SWMBO reading about the hotel we were headed for - she didn't even realise the speed!

Hate to rain on your parade but you'll have to believe me when I tell you the car will run over 200mph with just a tune and LTH's. Also had three grown adults in the car.

Car went 187 in 1.25 miles in Miami two years ago with plenty left to go. Our goal is to go 200mph N/A in a mile event soon.

Nope, thats what the mile event registered the speed and I had my V-box to back it up.

with the PP the limiter is on 280 from what i read all over MB page & web, but i think just on facelifted cars, mine is with PP pre facelifted and there was no way go via 256...

 

Absolutely it will .. I had to slow down because I ran out of road.. and mine is a sedan, not a coupe! Used GPS for accurate speed measuring.

 

Last night I was in my 2008 m6 v10 convertible thats tuned by Gintani full E85 stage 2, catless with bolt ons and was with my buddy in his Gintani tuned full e85 fbo with catless exhaust and lth w204 edition 1 c63, and we did a roll from 60-200mph on speedo, I had top down but reached those speeds lol, my m6 pulled on my buddy but not by alot, I could clearly see in my rear view mirrors that he was still on my bumper and going the same speed, idk how fast we were really going, probably around 190mph because my speedo said 200mph, I know with the top up my car can hit around 210mph gps verified, my rpm got raised to about 8,600rpm from the Gintani tune, and when we both let off it sounded like canons going off lol and flamethrowers haha, so a w204 c63 amg can definitely go faster then 185mph.
