I agree, I used to own a black Stealth TT & told myself never again I'm buying another black car. And if I were to daily drive my white C63, I would probably wax it every month rather than every 6 months. LOLOriginally Posted by ShaneN.
It's the actual act of washing it that creates the clearcoat swirls though. You can follow the lines of the car instead of doing circles, wash it often so there isn't much debris, foam/soap it first and spray it off but no matter what it's something you can't fully avoid. your technique and ****-ness(lol) can severely change how bad or not it is. I've always owned black cars except for one blue one, such a pain in the ***. You're exactly the kind of person that I hope is selling the c63 that I buy from - wish everyone took care of their cars

It's a lot of work to keep a black car clean... my friend owns a black 993 Porsche & he is more **** than I am. Wash & wax once a week, but his black paint always have a mirror shine. Nothing beats a clean & shiny black car. Originally Posted by m a x i m u s

even with white, i find that the c63 loves to collect dirt under the doors and on the backside of the trunk near the license plate. i used to clean it religiously. it got old fast and gave up in favor of a once every 2 months thing.Originally Posted by Roswell

Oh yeah, our cars are dirt magnet at the rear bumper area. I think it's caused by wind drag in the rear front all the torque we have.
Get urself a California duster & u can wipe the dust out in a heartbeat w/o washing ur entire car.
