hello everyone, im new to the forum. im currently driving a 2009 335i and has just recently ordered a 2013 c63 sedan. im curious to see what type of pricing dealerships are offering. i live in southern california and it seems like all dealerships were offering 2k off msrp plus whatever incentive program they have running when the car arrives. does that sound about right? thanks!

Where in SoCal are you? My cousin works in a MB dealership and got me my car for about 4K off msrp plus 3 years maintenance. Let me know and maybe I can connect you two to get something going.

i ordered a 2013 c63 sedan in magnetite black metallic, classic red/black 2 tone leather, carbon fiber trim, multi media package, lighting package, and keyless go. its pretty basic, but i think the car's a beast as it is.

On an ordered car 2-3k seems good enough.

Instead of throwing money on carbon fibre trim, I'd rather add the pricier P31 package. That's assuming you're not gonna tune the car..

Good luck.

yea im not planning on tuning my car. im not very knowledgable in modifying cars so i don't really look into doing any of that. as for the P31 package, is that the AMG development package? sorry, im not familiar with a lot of terms that get thrown around here. I really wanted the carbon fiber spoiler that came with that package, but not for around 6k. the other upgrades that come with the package are cool and all, but i just dont really think i need it. i haven't seen many c63 in person so i can't say for sure, but i really like the carbon fiber trim over all the rest. please give me any feedback you have on what im saying cuz im sure u know a lot more than i do. thanks!

First of all, congrats on the new beast! You'll smile everytime you get in, I promise. I have for 3 years and still do! I agree, you might as well of gotten the p31 instead of the CF trim. Since you're not going to tune the car, the p31 is your best option performance wise, trust me its totally different then without the extra HP. P31=red calipers cf spoiler, suspension upgrade, I might be missing some options, but I drive a p30 09 :p. As for not being the modding type, I'm sure thatll change the more time you spend surfing this forum. A lot of bad influences here :p.

I've driven an 09 335xi, nothing compared to the c, not even close. I let my friend drive the c and I could see him smiling from a mile away, I had to pull him out of the driver seat! His car is also pretty heavily modded.

im getting really tempted to take the suggestion you guys are mentioning. what kind of trim do you have in your c63? if i change the carbon fiber trim, then im probably getting the aluminum trim. not a big fan of wood trims. also, is there anything i should know about the wheels? i like the twin 5 spoke wheels.

I ordered a 2013 same as you except in white. I had to toss around the idea of the development package for quite a while but in the end i decided to go for it since this way i'll never regret not ordering it down the road. Haha also i loved the carbon fiber same as you so that was the biggest factor for me, but in Canada we not only get the spoiler we get the carbon fiber trim inside in that package. The carbon fiber trim alone was almost half the price of the development package if bought seperately so it was kinda a no brainer if I wanted it. Sadly for you guys in the states its not the same packages.

P31 and LSD are the important options.

P31 = AMG development package.

Comes with a lot of goodies:

-Connecting rods, and crankshaft from the AMG’s gullwing SLS flagship.
-Plus a reprogramming of the engine-management system to up the power to 481 hp
-Seude steering wheel
-Big brakes
-Red calipers
-CF trunk spoiler

I might be forgetting some stuff.

Its a good thing if you don't want to tune your ride and keep the warranty.

Great decision in picking up a great car. Your spec sheet looks good, I'd recommend adding the LSD, instead of the CF interior trim.

If you're only interested in the CF spoiler, just get an aftermarket quality CF spoiler. No need to get the whole P31 package. Like you said, the car is already beast in it's "base" form.

If you'd like you can see my car. Two tone interior with CF trim. I live in San Dimas, so I'm five minutes away from you.

If you're not going to tune the car, then I'd also go for P31 & LSD, two very good "factory" "Performance" items, which add "Character" to the car IMHO.
I'm not a fan of C.F. either inside or outside the car.....As far as interior trim is concerned, have a look at "Black Ash".....very smart, & will look very smart with the leather you have chosen.
Cheers, Pickles.

thanks for all the feedback! ive already taken out the CF interior trim and added the P31 package. what is LSD? is it the limited slip differential option?

Yes. That's right. LSD = limited slip differential.

Great decision. $6k for P31 goes a lot further than $2.2k for CF trim. And you can add CF later on but you can't have factory warrantied performance as an aftermarket.

do most people take their mercedes to their dealerships for maintenance? also, how fast should i expect to burn through my tires? thanks!

I think most do. then again, i am sure there are quite a few who do it themselves. I have always been to the MB dealer for each of my MBs. And the Chevy dealer for my GTO.

No need to skimp on maintenance at MB dealer when u spend $70k on a toy.

Packages in the states suck. Anyways. I have always taken my car for maintenance at MB. My dealership deals with a lot of amgs and two slrs so i trust my advisor as i have taken all my and my families cars to him. Tires, first thing when you burn your first set is go for 275s in the rear. Way better grip. The stock 255's dont do this car justice. Ive burned through a set in 5000 miles and a set in 10000 miles. Depends on your driving. As long as you dont slam the pedal from a dig everytime (hard not to) rear tires can actually last you sometime.

thanks for the replies! i was wondering if the torque gets a boost too from the P31 package. also, does the 2013 come with blinkers on the side mirrors? i always thought that was kinda cool. thanks!

Torque stays the same at 600NM.
Did you order the L.S.D?
We also have the "comfort pack", which includes keyless go & electric rear blind.
Cheers, Pickles.

Totally agree with pickles. Car performance options should come first before aesthetics. After all we are purchasing a performance car.

My wife drives a magnetide C350 cdi and the color looks awesome when polished up. Looks very smart. However the magnetide black does have a bluish/greenish tinge. I do differ a little with Pickles, I don't like the black ash in my wife's car but that comes down to personal taste. I am very tempted to replace it with CF

No, I didn't get the LSD. I'm not the type who pushes my car so I don't really think i need it. I don't think they offer the comfort pack for US but i got the keyless go option. The color options I got is magnetite black with black / red interior. I've never seen one in person with that color combo and was wondering if anyone would have any pics of this combo or have seen one.
