LSD or Tune?

Simple question. I have a little bit of money to throw at my car. What is everyone's thoughts on an LSD or Tune?

Tune probably a little cheaper, no labor costs. I would go that route just so you're not running so rich a AFR, thereby keeping your motor cleaner.

Steel Grey Metallic C63!!
I went the LSD route first, then followed it up with a Tune.

You'll definitely need the LSD if you're getting a tune. You'll spin out at 1/4 throttle with a tune and no lsd.

Both! Get a tune first so that when you get a LSD you can appreciate it and see the difference more.

Get a tune first, unless you're headed straight for the track. Then you'll need both.

Tune all the way. Lsd if you plan on tracking the car. The biggest mod you can get and the cheapest too, unless you get a charger. Especially now, you can get the tune with the handheld at basically the same price as the tune alone

LSD... otherwise you are wasting the potential of the tune because you can't get the power down. Power without control is useless IMO.

The only track it sees is Tire Rack's when in switching tires. Other than that I am a stoplight to stoplight kind of driver. I think I will start with the tune.

Tune first then LSD. The LSD is really worth it if you drive aggressive on the street.

With all due respect, IMO 80% of C63 owners would not be able to tell whether the car has LSD or not if they were given a random C63 to test-drive.

SLS
In the end, you'll want both. Decide which one is easiest for you to do first, then do that. Tune will be relatively painless and easy. LSD will require 8 - 10 hours of installation labor (by someone who knows what they're doing).

I'd pick LSD. If the C63 has a dynamic fault, it's the inability to smoothly modulate the application of power on corner exit when close to the limit of adhesion. An open differential isn't such a big deal in cars with more modest torque output. My Cayman S didn't have a LSD, but it didn't have anywhere near the grunt as the C63. Why didn't MB equip the C63 with LSD as standard? I'm guessing that the marketing folks expected the majority of owners to not care about on-limit corner exit behavior, or even to lack awareness of the function of a LSD.

my C63 will see a tune before LSD hands down

i usually do my spirited straight line blasts on the freeway anyways, this car is too quick for local roads
