Over a year ago, my dad had a minor accident with his 1990 735i. It was just enough to consider it totaled. He picked up a C300 not too long before I got my C63. I just found out that about a month ago, he went to the dealership with the C300 and came home with a black SL550!
My mom said "better a new car than a new woman."
Pics to come, and maybe a drag race. That'll happen once one of us drives across the country

Gives me another excuse to fly back to SC. The cool part is that they let him take it home without transferring the title and keys of the C300 cause he's been buying from that dealership for 20 yrs.

Love this post. Hits very close to home.
My father passed away several years ago. He was the biggest Mercedes fan, he own multiple Mercedes over the years and he introduced me to Mercedes with a 1998 C280, I love that car. The love for cars was our thing and we spend hours talking about them.
Over the years I have owe my share of cars , I even try Porsche but that did not go well. Now I can't see myself buying anything except Mercedes.
I just but a C63BS, and on the way home I was thinking of my dad,
And how much he would have love this car.
In short I miss him, and having those car talks with him.
PS: Sorry bringing the mood down

Thanks, guys. I'm not sure when I'll get to see it in person since I don't make it out that way as often anymore.
That's funny. He's never driven in my car, though! That'll change in a few weeks when they're out here for Tet
It's all good. Actually, my first memories about the family cars were an old BMW 325 in that 80's yellow and a brown 300D turbo diesel. We could hear him coming down the street.
