My Modding Spree Coming to an End with a Number Plate
So far the car has a:
Rear carbon fiber diffuser, front carbon fiber lip, rear carbon fiber boot spoiler, tinted headlights, fog and tail lights... Black roof. Black gloss mirrors 2012 style mirrors (on their way). Widened rear arches. Resonator delete. OE Tune (tomorrow or Tuesday). Carbon fiber dad's bonnet painted silver except the vents. Rear carbon fiber roof spoiler coming tomorrow. Painted lower mesh black from dark grey. Carbon fiber side bumper vents. 19" sls style wheels with 285 tires on the rear. Carbon foil rear tail light surrounds. Lime green painted callipers. Carbon fiber foil underneath the 6.3 AMG badges. Debadged the Mercedes logo off the back and filled the wholes and then painted it.
The matte grille was peeling off the grille and had some chip marks so I finally sanded it down today and wrapped it gloss black with chrome star.
Now I am just waiting on the black gloss mirrors to arrive as well as new rear badges. I am also taking it in tomorrow for the secondary cat delete replaced with X pipes... AND THEN I'M DONE. ABSOLUTELY DONE.
Once all work is complete, I am going to take it out to a nice location and do a photo shoot. I've had so many cars but none that bring this kind of joy to me before.
One thing that worried me this morning is I woke up and I got a check coolant level - see operators manual. I topped it up with 150ml and the light hasn't come back on today. It's now done 60,000kms and I hope for the love of me this is not bad news.
Still haven't decided on the location for the front plate but am going to try and get permission tomorrow for a sticker plate instead so I can fit it neatly on the bumper.

The wheel offset is 35 on front and rears. I have custom fenders widened by 35mm. The tires are Nitto Invos on the rear 285/30/19. The wheels on the rear are almost flush but I have a 10mm set of spacers which I will stick on the rear to see how it goes.
Set up now is perfect and traction is insane. I cannot wait until I get the tune done.
I bought the foil from a shop and spent 3 hours at home doing it with a hair dryer, a sharp knife, my hands and plenty of patience which was wearing very thin.
Have attached a photo. It's not bad work, just reflection from the light. I still need to wrap the upper part of the grille which is connected to the bonnet. I guess I will do that tomorrow.

and in usa bc of stupid labor prices it would be so expensive to get custom wide body hahau will enjoy the tune...got my car oe tuned a couple weeks ago its amazing! I enjoy it much more :p
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

That makes sense. I didn't realize that the plates were that expensive. That is definitely crazy. I can get custom plates here for $240 and put whatever I want on them (except swears). So you spending $600 on yours is reasonable. I thought it would be in the thousands of dollars for the plate you got.
$7 million for a plate is down right offensive. I guess you need major oil money to buy that plate. Is that one available though? How much would plate number 1 cost?

I can't wait for the tune! Really been thinking about it for almost 3.5 months now and finally getting it done.
Re the wider arches on the rear, they were extended by the previous owner but he told me by either 35 or 40mm. On the current set up, there's perhaps just 1cm to the outer arch. I will lift it, put the spacer on and see what it's like. If all is OK, next time I change tires, I will remove the spacer and put a 295 on. Will definitely help with the tune but to be honest 285s are stunning. The car just rockets off the lights with nothing.

You can have eihter 1,2,3,4 or 5 digits and usually the lower the digits the higher the price. You're not allowed to make your own. Either they are in the market or they're not.
The number 1 plate sold recently at an auction here for 11.5$m!

So the G55 plate and F458 plate are just normal, non car specific plates from the ministy? That's cool.

A, B, C, D, E etc
so for A you will get A1, A2, A3, A200, A330, A5446, A55343 etc
then the same for B, C, D, E etc.
They sell plates directly but the ministry also holds auctions on numbers they know are in high demand such as 65, 63, 55, 458 etc.
I saw D63637 and that was for $1400 which was out of my budget. I saw D 6321 which was for $1200 out of my budget. Then I said I wouldn't get a plate but it so happened I saw 63639 advvertised for only $700., I called and said $600 was my budget and he accepted
you spend most of your time inside the car so you might as well have something to look at too!btw what's the story with the boss chair? lol
Our of interest, what's a boss chair

wouldn't that be funny if the guy with license plate "1" drove it around on a rusted out 1987 Civic...just because he could
