Probably would come down to a test drive. Rumours are going around that the new HSV may have above 350KW. Not to keen on other mercs to be honest. I like earlier BMW's though. The E46 M3 seems like an awsome car. E60 M5 sounds insane with aftermarket exhausts, looks good inside and out, but I hear the transmission is terrible. They are very cheap compared to other Euro sport sedans though.

Fair call on the older mercs yes the e46 m3 still looks good the m5 is just a sxc car
This thread was about depreciation let me tell u if u buy a new Holden it will devalue 25k in the first yr
U can pickup ve gts for 30k these days that was a 90k brand new
It all depends on what u want
The up keep on a Holden will be cheaper brakes on a c63 will cost u 5k will u be able to afford that?

Yeah HSV's are FPV's are really cheap second hand. I would never buy one new. I'm pretty sure Holden brakes are quite expensive too. I think they use Brembos. So your saying 5k a year to maintain a C63. I could do some of the oil swaps myself though.

(a)'12 C63 P/P, LSD, 19" m/spoke,comfort pack. (b)Astra SRI.
Having said that, a VE GTS is a pretty good unit, and MUCH cheaper than a C63.
I reckon the HSV VZ range would be worth your consideration..they get the mickey mouse 6L LS2 and strengthened drive train....the best VZ is the VZ GTO Coupe....a simply BRILLIANT car....we had one for 6 yrs..optioned with HSV/AP 6 spot brakes....our service manager reckoned the VZ Coupes drove better than VE.
Actually our very attentive M.B. Service Adviser drives a .....VZ GTO Coupe ......and he loves it!
Something for you to think about.
Cheers, Pickles.

RR Evoque Dynamic, Benz Valente (work hack)
Just had front brakes and rotors done on my FG F6
And they were $1200 for genuine Brembo rotors and pads (trade price).
C63 brakes can be bought for alot less in the USA.
The ML63 Brake set is almost laughable, I have a full front and rear set of rotors/pads/sensors coming from Mercedes for $800

I've never really liked the sound of Aussie V8's. Even with straight pipes and so on. Nothing compares to the sound of a C63 AMG. Don't judge me, I wouldn't buy a car based on it's sound haha
