507 engine upgrades?
Anyone know if the 507 internals are the same as those on the Development Package? If so, does the extra 26 HP just come from a revised tune?
I've got a 2012 sedan with the Development Package and I'm certainly interested in another 26 HP if it is as easy as a software upgrade.
TIA

Yes, it is a tune......but it would be nice to be able to go to your M.B. Dealer, & for them to upload the "genuine" 507 ECU data into your car!!!...That's what I would like anyway.

my guess is that they're identical to the P31 cars with how MBZ likes to play with published figures for the sake of marketing. In a perfect world all C63 variants (BS, 507, P31) would make considerably different outputs

I think the outputs will be different.
Not sure about P31 being under rated either (it'd be great if they were, because we've got one).
I think M.B. would have to be pretty specific about advertised outputs, so I reckon their quoted outputs would be correct.....but it does appear that this is only the result of ECU "variations".

2012 C63 AMG BS, 2010 DUCATI 1198S
From the info released so far, it seems to be a C63 P31 with a more aggressive tune. I would bet it's the same tune they put on the BS. AMG is becoming more like Apple. It's disappointing to say the least.

No Dyno sheet but this is what owner claims
If that true 431rw by 18% drive train loss is 525hp

Soooo... the Cliffs notes are... that in terms of pure power, C63 vs P31 vs BS results are all more or less equal given a proper tune?
Of course, that doesn't say anything about the longevity of the engine since presumably the versions that come from the factory with higher HP also have internals that can handle that power for the lifetime of the car, while those that are tuned have a higher likelihood of facing issues later in life.
I don't know anything. Just asking.

I believe that those are the same cars from the dyno. What I dont understand is how come a tuned non P31 is making 20+ WHP on the dyno than a non tuned P31 and yet they are equal in a race?
