Hey Guys,

First the disclaimer:

Guys who are bored of reading my threads or seeing photos of the different sets of wheels I'm putting on my car and/or other work, I apologise in advance. Please kindly move on and ignore this thread.

Now that's out of the way:

As some of you know I've been on a bit of a modding spree lately and believe I am now completely done with the exterior of the car and will move on to mechanical mods shortly. Well being completely done, I don't think I ever will be because that's what I said some weeks back but we will see.

I wasn't so in love with the old black rims I had on the car so sold them and picked up a set of 19" AMG two piece wheels which I am in love with. They are in 'titanium grey with a sheep lip'. I know many of you think these are older wheels from an older era, and they are, but I absolutely love the look of them and the color on my car.

The specs:

Front 8.5" with a 30 offset fitted to a 245/35/19 tire.
Rear 9.5" with a 31 offset fitted to a 295/30/19 tire.

Today I also wrapped the boot in black foil to match the roof. For the moment I am liking it and will keep it but it only cost $50 and can remove it at any time.

I know some of you may not like the look of my car but I love everything about it. It's one of the best things that's ever happened to me

So here's photos that I took today for those that have requested them

very nice Sam, thanks for sharing! have u made a decision on the the Dad's CF hood yet? I think it would look bada$$ in its original CF state, and nicely match the rest of your setup.

Looks great are these the wheels from eBay? I might have to pull the trigger on them. I wasn't sure if they would fit.. They look like the wheels on my wife's CLS 63 with the O30 package.

Thanks Derek.

I do want to do it, but I am really worried that they're going to screw it up and leave scratches or a bad finish on the carbon fiber after the paint gets removed. I am going to go and see some carbon fiber specialists and see what they say next week (weekend has begun out in Dubai )

Thanks ZephyrAMG I am liking it for now, well more than liking. Will see in a few weeks

Thank you Sir.

Nah, I sourced these out in Dubai. The one's they're selling on Ebay are replicas and I don't know what the offsets are.

The OEM of these wheels come in two offsets and 3 colours.

Offsets are either 8.5 and 9.5 with a 30 front and 31 rear (I've got this set up)
Or they also come in an 8.5 and 9.5 with a 44 front and 46 rear (you will need this set up to fit a C63 / W204)

Am not sure what the offsets are on the replica set on ebay.

Good luck bud.

putting 295s on a 9.5 looks a little odd to me. But the setup looks flush with the fenders!

You should have seen it with a 305

I am going back to 285s when I wear this set out. These Michelin 295 Pilot Sports have nothing on them compared to the 285 Nitto Invos I had on and they were half the price!

How were you able to put a 295 on there? Did you do any fender rolling? Any rubbing of any sort? I'm thinking since you put a 295 on a 9.5 it's probably stretching the sides to make the tuck?

Was debating on that since there is no PSS in the 285/30/19 size.

Yep, the existing fenders were cut, pulled and primed which added 40mm on the rear arch.

Now, the only rubbing I get is over extreme bumps in the road over high speeds that you cannot see. It's sticking out by 3mm hence going back to 285s. That's not really the issue though, the issue is these Michelins have shi% grip. Nothing like the Invo I had on

Thanks buddy,

I wasn't sure at first on the lime green callipers but I wanted to do something different than the typical red and silvers that you get. Really loving the look and the contrast with the color of the spokes very nice.

Thanks Roswell, Yeah, I never had them installed on a C class to know what they looked like but there was a car with approximately the same style of wheel and the same color callipers and that made me start the hunt for them. I really like them and the contrast between the deep grey and the callipers (when they're not covered full of brake dust).

Thanks Vivid

Thanks Abcut

I like how the 295 sits higher than the 285 and gives the appearance that the car is lower as there's less space between the top of the rubber and the wheel arch.

I think they're just right
