Used C63 - Higher Mileage or More Packages?
Hi guys, I've been in the market for a C63 for a few months, and have come across a number of offers from dealerships, but still haven't found "the right" car yet, but am getting close.
Anyway, I started thinking about something this weekend, and figured the existing owners would know best...Would you rather purchase a used C63 with low mileage and basic packages (Premium, Multimedia, Leather), or a C63 with a bit more mileage which includes the same packages plus P31 and LSD?
edit: Thread should have been called Lower Mileage or More Packages.

I'm looking at a near-new (but still two years old) 2011 with Premium, Multimedia and Leather with fewer than 5,000 miles, and the 2011 P31 w/LSD is closer to 16,000 miles. Both are CPO, but the P31 has some scratches on the bumper (dealer is fixing in their body shop right now).
Prices are comparable.

Buy the lower mileage one
Use the extra cash to buy mods
?????
PROFIT!
I did exactly that. I had a 2011 with P31 with 14k and they wanted 62k, I found a 2011 with everything but the P31 with 10k miles, and got it for much cheaper. Took the extra cash and bought long-tubes, ROW airboxes, OETune and a diffuser with lip for the difference in cost.
I couldnt be happier.

Prices are still being negotiated a bit, so I'm not going to disclose anything at this point.
To johnnyblaze's point, I don't have plans to mod at this point, so I'm thinking the P31 might be better for me if I can reach a fair price.
It's a price battle between low mileage vs better packages offsetting each-other.

(a)'12 C63 P/P, LSD, 19" m/spoke,comfort pack. (b)Astra SRI.
P31 & LSD are VERY good options.
But the car has to be the "right" car too. I don't care if a car that I was looking at was fully loaded with EVERY available option...if it's not the "right" car, then I don't want it.
In your case, if the P31, LSD car is the right car for you, and you've had it checked out, & you like it, then go for it......you're gonna be a very happy man!
Cheers, Pickles.

my wife bananas! :D
depending on the use of the P31 car as well. take a look if it has been tracked heavily. it could be 3k miles only for what matters but if it was 3k hard track miles, i personally would stay away.
btw a non p31 tuned will close that performance gap greatly without the need for expensive maintenance / replacements down the line.
