Thanks Everyone
,
I'll be taking all your opinions into considerations, and more likely going to get myself the current gen. I appreciate all of you AMG owners sharing your experiences with me since hopefully the C63 is going to be my first AMG and my first own car.
@Merc63, Didn't know that resolved the head bolts issue, really appreciate it, don't really care about the minor problems as long as the warranty will cover it.

I don't think any new AMG model will ever give me the low end torque I currently get with my NA 63! This thing just feels awesome when you stomp on it!
And that's coming from a person who owned a modified E60 M5!

There are many countless C63's out there with NO problems. What small issues you see is typical of any automotive manufacturer. Note these cars are not driven lightly either, with anything high performance, you also understand that you are accepting the risks. It can be anything, in Supra's back in the day it was Crank Walk, didn't happen to either of mine, I have had a C55, 3 C63's and none of them have had any issues, if you take care of it, you will be fine, plus you also have a new car warranty so whats the issue?
Relax and enjoy the ride.

I agree with most of the people that posted on this thread: The M156 will be the last N/A that AMG will be producing, and if some of us had issues with the headbolts, there is a warranty that will cover all expenses (original or extended). Owning one of these cars without warranty is being suicidal from my point of view. The combination of maneuverability and raw power (and sound) is hard to beat. No matter how stressed I've been at work, driving home helps me relax and it's tons of fun as well.

, but I am just asking because one common and is listed the 1st is the head sealing.
I don't think you can reasonably characterize the head sealing issue as common. A handful of cases have been made visible on our forum. If I was to judge against the volume of internet forum chat, this headbolt issue seems much less worrying than Porsche's IMS bearing problem that affected water cooled Boxsters/Caymans/911s from 97-08 or the C6 Z06 problem with dropped valves.Originally Posted by ////////////AMG
@gthal, Ya, am more leaning towards the current gen of the car, I do understand your point, but I was pointing the " issues " to one very immature member here

All cars have issues, but for the M156, there are very few. And MB have addressed them when they arrived, provided your car is still under warranty

I have been thinking about trading my tuned Z4 35is for a C63 by the end of the year. The Z4 is an awesome car but when I saw what Benz is going to do with the 507 I was really interested.
I like the NA aspect of the handbuilt engine - it is one of the greats this planet has seen.
The new M3 will boast a triple-turbo setup but it sounds weak in comparison the the NA V8 of Benz at its current development stage.
The new C63 I am sure will be a superior car to the current C63 in every department. In fact I bet a significant number of these forum members will be switching and updating to Benz's latest offering in time.
I am certain the tuning potential of a large displacement turbo V8 will be immense and when combined with 4WD it will be a rocket.
Yes, the new-look (new E-Class, SLK) Benz's don't appeal to me but I will reserve final judgement until I see one in the flesh. The new A-Class does look fresh and much better than its competition though.
Another 6 months and I'll make my decision whether to trade for a C63 507...
