Fellow AMG owner's which Gas do you use? Those in Richmond/vancouver BC
Chevron 94 or Shell 91 Vpower ??/
Recently i had my car serviced and the tech told me i had Cabon deposit.... he asked if i was using **** gas.. i told him i used 94 chevron..
he concluded that either:
1) 94 chevron has ethanol
2) i baby my car n didnt drive it aggressively result in carbon deposits..

Our gas is ****e. Chevron 94 has zero ethanol.
I have a GT-R now and have to supplement the 94 octane chevron with ethanol in order to get satisfactory performance from my car and prevent limp mode due to knocking from the crappy gas.

Do you run in sport mode or downshift in manual on a regular basis?
I am running 94 octane and notice more a carbon build up when I drive in sport mode... and I notice excessive carbon build up when I downshift in manual mode. which makes sense...
I Don't think your tech knows what he is talking about... if you baby the car there should be less carbon. Was your tech older?
Some of these old geezers thing these things are old muscle cars where you gotta go "blow the carbon out"... probably started as an excuse or myth to go drive aggressively back in the 1960's
I think your tech should be checking on why your car is running rich and not burning up all the fuel cleanly.

C63s run rich from the factory. Run the sea form through it and call weistec for a tune.

I had a CEL at the dealer for 2 weeks . They found carbon fouling right bank sensor (don't recall exactly but have record). They cleaned it with a pipe cleaner (yep like when you used to smoke the pipe). The wife drives the car and now more aggressively in S with at least one open throttle per day.

I have had 2 C63's in the last 5 years and 94 Octane Chevron ONLY.
No ethanol at all.
Nothing wrong with the car, runs great.
