I have a 2012 c63 coupe and want to run this thing but obv need to do it the right way and need a dedicated setup.. For now ill be running the stockers up front but want a lightweight / sticky rear set up if anyone has anything for sale please let me know ! If not can someone recommend what to buy as a new set up which brand/tire/size/width/tiresize

I'm in the same boat, went to the track Sunday and on stock tires it was tricky to launch cleanly. I'm leaning towards finding a set of oem rear wheels to mount a set of drag radials on for trips to the track but would love a 17" wheel option that doesn't look too out of place with the stock wheels up front and clears the stock brakes.

CCW can make you 17" rears for Hoosiers and 18" front skinnies if you want the ultimate track package without modifying the rear brakes etc.... Great products and John a great guy to work with.

I was planning on wrapping my stock tires with some continental DWS Performance All season tires for the colder North East months and figure they will stick better than summers on cold pavement as the C will never see snow i have a range rover evoque for those duties
Would it be worth getting a custom lightweight 17" set up for the rears vs say using my stock 18's that are heavier wrapped in hoosiers? would the 17's be significantly faster? I dont mind the extra payment I want to run the fastest time possible without modifying my rear brakes
Can you provide me with an email or contact info for contacting CCW/John?

Tsw interlagos 18x9.5 5x112 bolt pattern et 52 I think. They only make 2 offsets in that size and bolt pattern. 40 and 50something. You want the 50something. For tires you can use Mickey Thompson et street 2 in 265/40/18.

Jim thanks for the suggestion the price doesn't look bad on those hopefully I can get a drag radial vs a street radial that can fit them ill do some research

I got really lucky, there was a guy on here that found a place locally that had some 17inch replicas. They fit perfectly and were only 200 bucks lol.
I think the guy only had 2 sets and we bought them up.
Another option is having ccw make you two of these:
http://www.ccwheel.com/wheelprofiles...php?id=Classic
This is what I was going to do. They are like 1300bucks though.
Offset would be the same as stock I assume??
Dont get a street radial, get those hoosiers, they are a true drag tire, the sidewall folds and grabs.
They are only DOT rated to compete in a specific racing class. It says all over them, not to drive on the street since the sidewall is so weak.

And the weight difference is huge!

Yea Keith also recommended Ccw but is that price just 2 wheels without tires? That's a little steep if so but if that's the only option I can spend a little more money and do the right thing
Yes I'd prefer 17's but finding something available in the right offset is hard
I'm only considering Hoosiers I want the best possible time with my setup so streets are out of the equation as I will never street those tires anyway and there ultimate grip is compromised to be streetable

The cheapest I found the TSWs for was $216 from lsdmotorsports. McCormack Racing the cheapest place for MTs. Haven't priced out Hoosiers.

Hey dodger remember Bruce hit you up about 2 weeks ago regarding your drag set up? im the guy that was looking to get them put on but i dont want to shave the tabs off the back of the pads this is still going to be a street car most of the time ! Can you recommend another lighter wheel thats not a crazy price ?

The MT ET Street 2 is a drag radial. Maybe you're thinking drag slicks? I think most people are either running the MT or the Hoosiers for drag radials. The Hoosiers are drag radials too, but not supposed to be driven on the street. They're a little sticker. You'd need to trailer the car or stuff them in the back and hope someone doesn't run off with the stock wheels while you're running. Some drive with the Hooisers on the street anyway. If you run slicks you definately can't run on the street.

Thanks, I should have a video too. My buddy with his 2012 mustang was in the right lane and his daughter was videotaping the runs so hopefully she gets back to me with it soon.

Why would the coupe be any faster than the sedan? Curious why you would specify.
On street tires 11.9 is by far the fastest I've seen a member here run, that's great.

Would you happen to know if the Nitto 555R's in 285/35/18 will work with the TSW Interlagos? Or could I only run the Mickey Thompson in 265/40/18? Thanks for your help
