C63 sold, ML63 bought
C63 sold, ML63 bought
I sold off my C63 and bought an ML63. It's sad to see the C63 go and wish I could have kept both but that was not financially practical.
I've posted pics and more details in the ML63 forum for those interested but in summary, the C63's spirit lives on in the ML63. It's easy to tell that both vehicles are built by the same mad AMG crew. The torque of the turbos is quite addictive!
Even without my C63, I'll still be roaming this forum as it is one of the more active and interesting forums around.

Congrats on ur new ML63, I can attest this SUV drives like a sport car. I had so much fun & was so impressed by its performance & handling on the track during the AMG performance tour.
But be ready to see ur gas station attendant more often than ur wife, this car is a gas guzzler.. Just thirsty like a fish! Lol
As for the new design, I honestly prefer the old design. The old fender flares just made the car more aggressive.

Last week i steeped on it hard as I was merging on to the 105 fwy. Right next to me I saw a new ML 63. He joined in and leapt forward, instantly he was right on my tail. It was weird and impressive to see an SUV keeping up with me. He Probably could have taken me but we didn't go long enough to find out.

I haven't even had the stop/start activate yet but that must be due to the high ambient temps we currently have. At this rate I'm hoping it would at least match the C63 consumption but I had better expect to be disappointed, as it doesn't let me drive it slow.
Thank you!
It is quite fast and I'm quite happy with the feel of the power in comparison to my old C63.

Congrats again - definitely love it in black.
I'll just put that question to rest and say that the AWD 550hp would have beaten the RWD C63.

Congrats on the new ride. It looks great in black.
I am wondering about your comment about "financially practical". Did you combine 2 cars into one as the ML is quite a bit more dough than the C.

I think the OP means that it wasn't financially practical to keep the C and get the ML. It was one or the other.
Thank you all for the warm welcome of the new ride!
Only mods for the time being that we're done are the front tints and AMG door pins and chrome bonnet fins. I'm still breaking it in and getting used to the power and handling!
Yes, it wasn't financially practical to buy two new cars without selling the old ones, therefore, I sold the C63, ordered the ML, then bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee for my wife first, then topped up the difference to pay for the ML, while I drove her B200 until my ML arrived. Now I'm going to sell the B200 too.
Happy wife, Happy life!

Hey GMW Congrats on your new beast, I just recently drove one at the ADA in Las Vegas in Nov and this thing moves, but what impressed me the most was the level of interior, its a beautiful place to be. Enjoy, and long live the C63 for me as well as it is the one who started all this madness for us.

You know, this is something ive been asking from the moment I got it but now I believe with the Performance Package on this ML, It feels faster. Even someone who has ridden in my C63 in the past said "...this thing feels even bloody faster!" I'm guessing the crazy boatloads of torque from low down plus 4matic do make a potent combo. It can spin the rear tyres joining roads from a standstill, in the dry.
you only realise this when wondering where did all the power go. Taking off the ESP, which is the equivalent on putting it in ESP sport mode in the C63, helps to keep the power up.
Doubt it's faster than a 2012+ p31 c63 with the MCT someone recently ran an 11.9 @ 118.6 with a stock c63 coupe on street tires that's going to be tough to beat with all that weight .. But I'm in the NYC area if anyone wants to find out
Sick truck btw love the new ml/gl 63 that low end torque must be fun now get a tune for it and you'll leave mustangs wondering wtf just happened
