P31 TUNE ONLY Power.
Took my bone stock P31 to the dyno and made 405WHP and 373tq.
Ordered the Velos tune 93 octane and made 453WHP and 400WTQ!! The shop forget to upload the tq graph, will get it soon.
The P31 one does make power with a tune. I was looking at my A/F and saw near redline about 13. looks like they leaned it out with the tune.

Maybe it is uncorrected on that Dynojet which can get that number up there? A lot of the graphs I've seen around here are on heartbreak mustangs. Just a thought...
Still good numbers regardless.

It made 405RWHP on that same dynojet Stock. I purchased the tune and expected something around 430whp like everyone else. The numbers are STD corrected. When a change the smoothing to 5 its about 445WHP. I am just calling it as it is. Temp was 50 degrees, and humidity was around 30%. Conditions might have helped.
Here is another better image showing correction and smoothing.

funny how velos has such high numbers, especially after tuning a p31. doesnt really make sense how youre doing the same as the header guys w tune only
nice all the same though

445whp on Dynojet using STD correction sounds about right for tune only. It's the baseline results that don't make sense to me, as they seem really low for Dynojet STD given you are P31.

Header guys seem to make about 30whp more than me, which is to me is understandable. The shop will open up again on tuesday and I will be able to get the actual digitial files. I dug up a printed dinky version of the baseline run. The P31 bone stock on that day made 402whp and thats UNCORRECTED. The runs on the same dyno with only the TUNE made over 445whp STD corrected, uncorrected it made about the same.

My C63 is a 2011 btw. Basically from looking at the charts and taking all factors into consideration it looks like there has been a gain of about +40WHP witha tune on a P31. Now take in account better atmosphere conditions on the tuned run, I would say -10whp, which leaves a good argument that my car made 30whp on JUST a velos tune. I personally am okay with understanding that even though it is pretty good gain. Not to mention breaking traction in 3rd, which was not possible before.

Perhaps it made 405 SAE, and they switched it to STD on the post run just to show higher numbers.
the graph does not show the original run.
you will not gain ~50 whp on a P31 with just a tune!

I just posted the BASELINE graph. It made 402whp UNCORRECTED. After the tune corrected or uncorrected it made around 445whp.

No, about 30WHP with a tune because I am takeing into consideration that the conditions were MUCH better on the day with the TUNED run.
Seems pretty simple to understand that a p31 will make 30whp tuned. The 45whp gain on my car is not the most accurate depiction of how much gain over baseline, because the baseline run was done on a day with almost 80% humidity. Therefor, I would safely deduct about -10whp to make it a difference of 30whp overall gain. Not that hard to believe lol.

Yes because you dynoed on two different weather conditions, your gain was more on the Dyno. But in actuality you gained about the same as others have claimed. I was validating your claim.

Take your car to the street dyno and run a stock C63... then you can have tangible results to your very strong paper gains.

No, that is NOT always the case...as a matter of fact, most of the time the delta is different as you dyno'ed on different days, in different conditions, etc....show SAE.

A couple of the big boy tuners (Renntech and Kleemann) both told me not to waste my money with a tune on my 13 P31 if that was the only mod I intended to do, saying there are almost no gains to be had. Since I got headers, I obviously added the tune, but I'm sure the power gains were mostly hardware driven and not much tune related.
I think this is simply a matter of apples and oranges dynos being used to support gains that aren't really there. Like Vic said, only way to verify for sure is to take it to the track/street for a roll-on comparison with a stock P31.

Would it be fair to say, that the maximum you're going to get from a tune, to a standard P31, would be around 510HP at the crank, ie, about 23HP more,..maybe there'd be a little bit more, but not much.
I say this because of course the B.S. is 510HP, & has the same engine as P31...except for ECU.....I was just thinking that as B.S. is "the ultimate", it would probably have pretty much the "maximum" for this spec engine, so an increase to around 510 at the crank, would be about "it"?
Cheers, Pickles.

The BS is underrated from factory as well.
