Criminal Speeding Class A
You are in pretty big trouble, they dont give out supervisions for Class A's anymore.
I hired Ed Genson whi is the best crim atty in the state. Took 18 months, back and fourth, the end result, lots of money in attorneys fees, no jail time, no fine, and a 12 month probation with a probation officer, I had to get special permission to leave the country and state as well. If I am caught speeding or for any driving infraction till september, I will end up in deep s***. Judge says 364 days in the lockup. . . . .
Mine was 118 in a 55.
Chances are your court date will be in rolling meadows, and that judge that deals with class a's there was on the front page of the tribune 3 years ago for giving out supervisions to people who did 40 or more over the limit, after that it all stopped.
Your best bet would be to have it plead down to a class B misdemeanor based on your driving record, You have to usually write a letter that the attorney will present to the judge and SA beforehand, if they agree.
I have always had great luck with (David Mitchell 312-832-1000) who got me out of many many situations before, I was a little ticked I didn't use him for the big case, but I was afraid. Looking back, I think he could have done better.
Good luck!

In Naperville area is VERY restrict about the speeding. Last year I got a speeding ticket 71 in 40 in Naperville (Court in Wheaton). I hired an attorney who knows all the prosecutors in DuPage County to represent my case. I was end up paying $350 for attorney fee and $400 for the fine without going to traffic school but three months supervision. If you need my attorney to represent your case, give me a call at 630/788-9543.

Hey guys,
I appreciate your support but I'm in a bit of a jam here... Took me a few hours just to get access to the one computer here with Internet access and after reading about the stuff going on in Boston I couldn't help but log on to MBworld... This keyboard I am typing on is beyond nasty... hopefully my attorney will get me out of here soon... I am pretty sure I've got the fastest ride on my cell block, but there is no car talk in here
For anybody who newly installs radar detector and laser jammer, please pease please test them out before you go out for a drive, wish I had done that.

^^^Common man, have a little bit of heart.
I know you are dealing with a few things we all mortals deal with...a little bit of stupidity, some ignorance, some bad luck, some bad timing...
Hang in there and just learn a good lesson. Hopefully you can tell this story at the Thanksgiving dinner table this year and just laugh that you made it through and never to repeat it...

Do you guys actually think he's in jail? I took it as he was being sarcastic... wow, if he is then that's a tough lesson. Maybe a good one that will save his life but a tough one nonetheless!!

Yeah, I don't think OP was blaming the technology, I think he was just pointing out he assumed his installation was functional. He didn't test it out and if he had realized it needed some adjustment, he could've avoided this situation.

Someone has a history of these sorts of issues and then ends up in real trouble for it and you judge people here for second guessing? Most folks are just busting his ***** a bit... and it is earned. My guess, if he is, in fact, in jail (which I'm not convinced he is yet) is that there is a history of something else.
Sure we have all done stupid things but I don't think many here have ended up in jail for it or have a fairly well documented history of similar issues. A lapse in judgement once or twice but not the same consistent pattern.
Bottom line is this is a public forum... come here and tell everyone your history and issues and expect feedback... both good and bad. If someone can't take that then why air your dirty laundry to 1,000s of people? What would you prefer people say? Yeah man... the popo really stuck it to ya bro, how unfair that you are getting punished for breaking the law... fight the power bro!

Trust me, if he used my attorney he is not in jail. He probably go it reduced down to a minor traffic violation.
