Neither car has the old headbolts. The 130 has the performance package, but no LSD

Not without tearing into the engine, or checking with dealer to see if it was done by MB. You should assume it was not done.

How about WDD2040772A665799? It is from a late Nov 2011 C63, with black rocker covers.

Pretty sure it is safe given year, but would like to be certain.

Hi. I'm new into the group. Recently bought registered April 2010 E63., WDD2120771A107967.
it has done 220k km, no coolant issue so far. Only cylinder bank 1-2 running "lean".

.is this one of the affect engines?

Hi I just found about the issue and Im obviously effected since mine is a 2009. It has 70 K miles and is not showing issues yet with the coolant or error signs. from what ive read not all of these will eventually become an issue. Is it something that I can just wait and see if it becomes a problem and hope I luck out? since 4 K is not even an option anytime soon. Or if it developes the coolant leaking issue before being repaired does it lead to even more damage and more expenses? I really dont want to part with this car as Ive had it 5 years and its been very reliable up to this point. Thanks so much for any advice!

I know this is an old thread but I’m still not sure why everyone is asking one “Joe” if their engines are affected. Just go to lastvin.com and enter your vin. If engine is before 60658, you’re probably affected. Easy. Forums are about sharing information, so there you go...

Would it say on the carfax if the headbolts have been replaced? There was a service done that only says “intake manifold gasket(s) replaced”. This was done at 23,000 miles.

carfax is trash. I doubt it. Intake gaskets are common.
