Cracked fog lens x(

Hi all,

Just drove down to New Orleans and back (14 hours each way!) Had a blast down there. While cleaning the bugs off (the whole front was covered) I noticed the driver side fog light lens was cracked. I looked up parts but it seems they only sell the entire housing. Does anyone know where to get just the lens?

Thanks

You can only get the entire housing.

I've broken 2 of them in less than a year. Currently have a broken one on there without any lens left at all.. lol

Order it from Parts.com. You can only order the housing and it's a common issue since it's so low and there's plenty of road debris to go around.

Same.. I bought the plastic sticker light patches for repairing busted lights (supposed to be temporary) and patched the passenger side fog light about a year ago.. that stuff is still sticking on their, even through the DC winter, and hte light still works.. heh..

I'm done fixing stupid little things, I know it looks like ****, but till I sell the car.. I'm not going to replace the fog lights.

After you replace the light get 3M headlight protection film put on it... It'll deflect almost everything.

You have obviously never driven around DC.. you could use armour plated fog lights.. and this city will still figure out how to destroy them

Damn.... must have boulders rolling around where you guys are hahaha

What thickness 3M PPF did you use?
20mil is used for paint (Hood, fenders, bumpers)
40mil and 80mil are for headlights and fog lights

I am almost sure they used 40 for the headlights and fog lights. The glass shattered has been held on together thanks to the 3M layer.

Don't worry too much about it fellas....it rains, you get wet, it just happens. Part of driving a car. I agree with the DTM front bumper option!! I just don't know what you do with the front light wiring....any codes as a result of bumber?

Thanks guys.

It seems I'll just have to suck it up and buy the whole thing or just leave it. I'll probably just leave it. Along with all the rock chips on my front end...
