First off, much thanks to Tony and Omega Motorsports for hosting another great airstrip roll-on event, No Fly Zone II. Lots of great cars out there despite the heat, and the day ran smoothly without any incidents.
My car ran amazingly well in the 95F+ temperatures and surprised quite a few people given it's NA trim. Consistently trapped 150-153mph at the 1/2 mile mark throughout the day from about 40mph rolling start. I've only had a chance to upload a couple of videos so far, so here they are.
Race 1: Me vs 2013 CTS-V Coupe w/ Hennessey HPE650 Package (580whp)
Race 2: Me vs 2011 C63 Sedan w/ charcoal deletes, Benzworks longtube headers, catless midpipes, x-pipe, and OE Tuning tune
More videos to follow, including me against a supercharged 2003 Dodge Viper, 2012 E63 Biturbo w/ tune, and FBO 335i w/ RB turbos and meth.

Nice runs! That was johnnyblazes c63 you ran. You guys have similar mods but you pulled pretty good on him. Is it because your car is a P31 to begin with or does the MBH setup breathe that much better?

My guess is that it more relates to the faster shifts of my newer MCT transmisson. I also think my ROW airboxes help a bit at speed.Originally Posted by whoadude

It was nice to meet you Eric, your tune is definitely better suited for this type of event. Your car pulls hard up top. You should also post the first race to be fair :P
See you at the next event.

Everyone laughed at the first run we had because we both jumped the cones early, it was still a very even race, Eric pulled hard at the end but I held out for a similar win to the second video. The second run I waited until I was fully up to the cones and got a late hit on the throttle. Either way his car is stronger than mine up top for sure. Peak horsepower came into play + his MCT vs 7G like he was saying. I was slower with every shift by fractions of a second.Originally Posted by Vic55

ahh I was gonna say that looked like a huge margin for similarly modded cars!Originally Posted by johnnyblaze

Its hard to get a perfectly clean run with roll racing. Lots of variables involved. If he shows the first race you can see the difference with the variables.Originally Posted by whoadude

I don't have first hand experience with their kit but I've read their tuning is not as aggressive as others. They offer a warranty which tells me the tune is very safe. Still a very fast car that you beat pretty bad. You should be happy. My mods are very similar but I added injectors.Originally Posted by xtyper

Pleasure meeting you too. Still trying to upload the rest of the videos. But to summarize for the forum, JohnnyBlaze gets a nice jump (at least that's what the video shows), and Eric spends the rest of the race chasing him down to result in about a 1/2 car loss by the cones. Get your tune adjusted for these type of events and let's get some rematches lined up.
