Deposit placed on Edition 507...
I’m pleased to announce my next step to becoming an AMG owner. My dealer and I have been discussing thepossibility of my purchasing an Edition 507 for the past three weeks – last weekhe notified me that the dealership had a 507 in the pipeline and if I put downmy deposit, I would be the owner of this car. The one thing I was weary on is the fact that official US pricing hasnot been announced. Sunday May 5th– I found a Motor Trend article online that said they estimate they’ll startaround the low $70k mark, which stays within my price range. So yesterday I pulled the trigger and putdown my deposit. I now have to selectoptions and notify my dealer so they can get crackin’ on the build. Expected delivery is July/August.

I have not yet committed to it as I am torn between going the 507 route or waiting for the new model. I have a 2012 sedan with 9000 kms on it and have been offered $115k for it as a trade. Going to another dealer tomorrow to validate the pricing, then I have to make up my mind which way to go. What do you think?

I'm a big fan of the n/a engines so I'd lean toward the 507. It'll be a special model.
As far as the trade-in value, I'm going to need help with the math/conversion. What did you originally pay, or what was the msrp? Options?

You know I can't exactly remember, it was circa $165k. Pretty basic car with a handful of options. I am not too worried re the loss as it is simply a figure in the books of a national company that I own.
