Keith,
I'm sorry to see this. You put so much love into that car and its gotta hurt a lot. We all make mistakes, don't beat yourself up too much about it. Thank god you are ok and without injury.
I saw your other thread as well. I look forward to see which car you get into next and what you will do to it.

Man, I'm sorry to see this. It was great seeing the whole build.
Most important you walked away and nobody else was involved.
Just give it a little time and you'll have a whole new project on your hands.

This is devastating - I am so sorry to hear about this Keith. Thank goodness you're OK. I don't think there is a single person that has done more to push the limits on this platform than you...the entire community has benefitted so much from you.
What's next for you?

Yea, you read it right.
I haven’t posted anything on the forums yet because I’m not sure what to say other than I wrecked my car yesterday on the way to work. The insurance adjuster will we by sometime in the next day or so but it doesn’t look good. I am physically fine but mentally I am embarrassed, frustrated, and angry with myself. It was a combination of too much power on street tires, poor judgment on my behalf, and wet pavement. I was all by myself in morning traffic and began to accelerate rounding a long sweeping right hand bend that you can see in the background of the first picture in a four lane divided highway. I was not street racing or even had that thought in my mind. I was simply on the way to work. When I accelerated the car downshifted lower than anticipated and the back end came out and I couldn’t recover. Fortunately, everyone around me recognized immediately what was going on and slowed down. The flow of traffic was only going about 70-75mph. After multiple attempts to gather her back up I made contact with the guard rail and she bounced off the right front, spun around and got the right rear. I figured if she ever got wrecked it would be on a track somewhere at a high rate of speed, not on the way to work minding my own business. Well I said it and sadly enough I have pics below.
Now I'm gonna go beat myself up some more.
PS: We are going to try to fix her!!

I'm assuming the traction control was off? I've laid into mine alot with ESP on and it never slips. You must have been giving it hell

I have been doing some searching for pics of Dads C63 with the BS hood on it but I can't find any.
Would love to see some pictures and some response from Keith on the fitment on the pre-facelift sedan before i pull the trigger.
Thanks.

^^^^^LOL!!! @ Callmiro.
I know exactly what happened and what was going through your head Dads. Sorry this happened. This car will not recover if in low gear, ESP off, and in a wild fishtail.
