Heat Under the Door
Does anyone else get an enormous amount of heat that comes out from the driver side door? Like at stop lights if I have my arm out the window its like 100+ degrees coming from under there and when I open the door to get out of the car. I've never had a car that pumps out heat like that so close to the door...

It's normal. It's hot out and you have an engine that is a couple hundred degrees. Heat has to go somewhere

To tell the truth, I cant remember the last car I owned that DIDN'T do that.
If its not too hot, you're driving too damned slow!

The Catalytic converters are right under the car near the doors. They get hot.. as in 1000F+ hot. While it is shielded (the insides actually get that hot, outside shell probably gets to around 500 to 800F). What you are feeling is heat from them radiating off the ground.
