"Stealer" told me State Farm will cover my busted fog lights for FREE
I place a call/email to my agent to make a claim.
Has anyone else heard of this?
I'll let you know how it goes.
Stealer wants $680 to replace.

Here's the reply from State Farm....
"Thank you Eric.
I am submitting a claim and the adjusters will be calling you.
If you have any questions or concerns let me know.
If anything comes up I will call you."
I'll keep you posted.

I received a call from the adjuster with the claim number:-)
The adjuster asked me if I had a shop in mind. I told him I was taking it to the dealer. Then the adjuster said, "they are going to charge a lot for labor." I said, "yeah, so. That's why I have insurance." Tehehehehe! Anyway, i gave the claim number to MB and they are setting up an appt. This couldn't have been easier. I hate to admit it but my fog lights have been broken since Year 1. I'm driving a 2009. Ouch.
I've had 3 windshields replaced since I bought the car.
I'm sure i'll have more than 2 fog lamps replaced as well.
Cheers,
Hawth

Should be in and out in 30 minutes.
Maroons like you need an adjustment.
If no deductibles, it means u r not at fault therefore it should be classified as "comprehensive claim"

Everyone's policy is different. it pays to know whats in your policy. This is why i carry more than the 10K/20K minimum on my car and everyone else should too.

Thank you for clarifying that.
Now lights are different story, I have no knowledge on that, but would be nice if they did.
Not trying to be a grey cloud here, that's why I asked are you sure you won't pay the deductible. That's what it comes down to. You can call and file a claim all day long,of course the will document the case....then you pay the deductible when its fixed. That's how it works. Them creating a claim etc does not = no deductible. This can be solved simply, just ask them and get it in writing...deductible or no?
I know that based on my good and long relationship with my agent, she may consider courtesies that are not available to all customers. Happens all the time and is called doing business! However, I cannot make the assumption that those courtesies are standard policy. In fact I may keep it to myself to prevent a flood of similar claims and the notion of "well, you guys did it for such and such, why not for me..."
