Has anyone taken the leather armrest part (the part you actually rest your arm on), and swapped it out with the Euro one which is only made of vinyl?

I am trying to figure out how you remove the armrest pieces from the centre consoe itself as I want the storage of a Euro armrest, with the leather of the US armrests. Not sure if I can somehow swap these out, or do I have to get the Euro one reupholstered.

No, I read that. What I mean is my original arm rest was leather, and the Euro one came with a vinyl armrest. I was wondering if there was a way to remove the armrest from my OEM one and install both parts on the Euro one instead.

Oh, I tried that. I wanted to have it done in leather but after 2 hours of trying I gave up.
I'm not sure it's possible to remove it.
