I-Drive AMG emblem

Anyone knows how to install these? Do we need to remove the original knob or its jus simply putting this over our existing ones? Thanks

You put it over the existing one with double sided tape

Mercedes Benz AMG I Drive Controls Cover Emblem W204 W207 C300 C350 E350 C63 E63 | eBay
If you read the description, it says

Dimensions: 57mm x 43mm
(with 3M adhesive sticker)
Fits For Porsche All Models

so I guess installation would depend on which Porsche you have...

For $50 it's a complete rip-off. $5 I could maybe understand.

I had a similar computer-case decal made (real aluminium, brushed raised lettering on sunken matte black background) for my company and the cost for 1000 pieces was under $400 (and that's in Canada, not in China). Nice profit margin.

Does the double sided tape go on the sides or does it go to the top of the original knob? I was just looking at this on eBay several days ago... It does cost a little much, but it looks pretty neat.

Actually u do not need double sided tape..it jus fit right on top..i would rather not have double sided tape too as it would be very difficult to remove it in future

charliekay, nice PS skills man

I see only two problems with this design:
1) the price which would be higher than $50 (above $100 I would presume).
2) the thickness of the CF, the resin, and the clear coat will make it more bulky than on your photoshop.

Thanks Matt,

Some people are paying $180 for a Red CF start button, im sure some people would pay $150 for a nice CF i drive button.

How much thicker would it be?

Hmm, I'll take some pictures of the controller and send it to my CF expert and ask him what's his vision on doing this and how it would look.

I'll let you know.
