C63 sound vs other AMGs
Hey everyone,
So what's the difference in sound between AMG models, what do you prefer? Do you think the new engine on the new generation C63 2015 will sound just as good as the current C63?
I listened briefly at the dealership to the start up of the SL63, CLS63, SLK55 all current models but somehow the C63 still won me over.

I do agree with both of you that the C63 sounds best! The ML63 also sounds good but I'm hoping the new generation C63 sounds like the current model.

The turbos don't seem to have much lag at all, but I might be paying more attention to the absurd sound when you floor it . It's definitely quick for a mid-sized SUV and shames my 600hp Range Rover Sport off the line.

the era of monstrous naturally aspirted sound coming out of tailpipes is done,
get used to turbos and superchargers OR pay the big bucks for the few left NA v12s..
The current c63 is a legend for sure.

Yeah, apparently the new C63 will have a 4.0 TT V8. Still, better than the I6 TT that the M3/M4 will have IMHO.
Turbos are the new trend, much easier to tune, huge gains of power, and big MPG gains. N/As will be a thing of the past... sad, becuase a turbo usually mutes the exhaust note a little and N/As have a better throttle response. Let's prepare ourselves for the end of an era

Bringing up an old thread so that it doesn't get crowded in here lol.
After a really long time thinking about my next move for a new car, i ended up with the C63 2015. It is hard to make this kind of decision i was between a lot of cars to be honest like V6 Panamera or CLS550 or maybe a CLA45 but i realized that for the price and quality and also performance the C63 is the best choice. I will be waiting for the debut but i already love how it looks even without the magical AMG touches so I'm pretty sure the 63 version will be a BOMB.

Just got done trading cars with a buddy who just picked up a 2013 M157 E63. The C definitely sounds much more aggressive, but the M157 also produces an absolutely intoxicating exhaust note - you can hear the turbos whistle on top of the signature AMG V8 rumble, which was just pure aural sex. Driving in the mountains with the windows down was bloody awesome.

I drove a ML63 hoping to buy one for my wife, end result just didn't like it. I own a C63 with headers, h pipe, tune, etc... SO obviously the ML63 and anything else I have test driven totally disappoints. I ended up with a Porsche Cayenne S and did cat bypass pipes on it right away, still even cold starts are a lame comparison to my beastly little C63.
