Lack of 19" wheel options
When I bought a white 2010 C63 sedan earlier this year I always intended to put an after market set of wheels in black on. I religiously follow wheel threads on the forum and whenever I am bored I will surf the net looking at wheel options.
My preference is 19" rather than 20" as I see potentially too much compromise on in ride on going 20" and the tyre options are better on 19".
I am not interested in spending over $1K per wheel for a forged wheel which by the time I get it shipped to Australia will cost substantially more again with shipping and duty.
The problem with the modestly priced 19" wheels seems to be lack of offset for the rear - 45 being common and 48 if you are lucky. If the offset is good then the width is often only 9.5" maximum.
Ideally I would like a 19 x 10 for the rear with an offset of 50 plus so I can run a 275 tyre.
All input would be greatly appreciated.

From what I've seen & have, a 9.5" rim is perfect for a 275 wide tire.
Being lowered with a 48 offset, 9.5" rim & 275/30/19 tires, I get a little rubbing over larger bumps & of course if I have rear passengers. Like you I didn't want to spend $$$ & bought a set of Stance wheels, there ok but I should've bought a set of Forgestar's, about US$400 a wheel & I would stick with a 9.5" rim & go with a 50 offset.
Also be careful with the offsets when comparing a 10" vs 9.5", 1/2" = 12.7mm or 6.35mm a side.

Forgestars are one of the brands I have in mind. CF5 is on my possibles list as they list 9.5" to +50 and 10" to +56. I like the CF10 but in 9.5' they only go to +42 and in 10" + 48 which on my reading here is simply not enough. Thankfully I do not like the F14's which seem to have had some issues (remind me too of a factory wheel from another German brand).

Have you considered either the HRE Flow Form or Vorsteiner Flow Florged wheels

I also have a set of the Vorsteiner Flow Forged in stock, the specs on the rear are 19x10 ET 52
