^^ every wheel companies I have dealt with requires more than 10% deposit. No matter if it's Konig back in days or HRE recently.

But yeah, I think OP can charge back this transaction even if it's been 6 months ago. He has a good case since he never received the goods. If it was damaged, then that's a different story.

All I can say is if you want to have the best wheels with your money well spent, HRE is the way to go. Close your eyes, relax and HRE will get it right. I'm amazed when my brother got his first set of HRE and mine should be coming soon
Master Jordan strikes again. I don't care what ppl says about him cleaning up his act at 360.. Or how nice their ADV wheels look.. I would be worry to deal with this company if smth were to go wrong with the wheels. Customer service after sale is very important for me.

Yes, it's the Flowforms that are made in Japan (https://mbworld.org/forums/5691592-post16.html).

+1 on what Roswell said above, both in terms of the deposit (no company will ever accept only a 10% deposit for anything custom made to fit your particular need) and the chargeback (they were never delivered, and you are only becoming aware of the fact now).

Khmergod - you can get the $1,000,000.00 Vossens and the 458 Ferrari (https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...-458-sale.html) for a cool $1.29M.

EDIT: If you really are going to spend that kind of coin, get yourself a nice set of HREs.

OP
How did you manage to buy a set of wheels directly from the manufacturer. On their website it implies they have a network of dealers. Are you sure you bought your wheels directly from D2 or an authorized retailer?

Sorry to see you had a bad experience with D2. I ran into awful customer service with Derrick at D2 a few years ago. Was very helpful in answering all the questions i had about the 19s that i was interested in. Then gave the CC info and was told 3wks i would get the rims and be provided a tracking # once he got it. By second week, i made weekly calls for tracking/status that went to voicemail, custom order so takes longer, or put on hold.

i found the contact info for the wheel manufacturer and explained the situation, who contacted Derrick/D2. Got a call immediately from D2 asking why did i need to contact the wheel manufacturer, that they could work it out with me and not involve anyone else. Well by 5 week i put a dispute on my visa. By that time i received my rims and D2 called why is cc doing a charge back when they sent me the rims. Well i waited a couple weeks to release the chargeback. Should have waited longer! Granted it was only $1300. Glad my second set of wheels i got where HREs elswhere!!!

Seems like they spend more $$$ on photos and having a booth at the NY Auto show and posting it on other car forums to generate business and poor service.

Are you saying that D2 is not the manufacturer and that they're getting everything made and assembled for them by a third party (a wholesaler like COR)? Just curious.

I assumed from the start this would have been the case... yet another wheel 'brand' that does little outside of sales/marketing.

Correct. The wheels that i wanted were Concept One. I contacted Concept One in California and didnt like the way things were being handled by D2.

Yeah, that would make sense. Sort of like the 'performance tuners' that put the P31 ECU code in a handheld programmer and sold it as their own.

Btw, did you read my reply about your TPMS issues? Must be the magnetite black paint (mine and yours are the only local C63s in that color that I know of). Look forward to meeting you and seeing it in person on Sunday at the meet.

I almost got suckered into the ADV1 scam on my C BS not know it was Jordan's company and basuically just a re-branded 360 forged. He screwed one of my buddies real good with the 360 Forged scam he was running, he screwed over lots of people. I just laugh now every time I see someone order a set of ADV1's

I think D2 and ADV1 are somehow linked because some of their promotional photo work appears to be done by the same photographer.

D2 Forged is owned by Derrick Williams, who also owns D2 Autosport. Nothing to do with Jordan from what I can find.

I guess I've been lucky with my ADV.1 purchases, never had a problem with them with 3 sets of wheels now.

I feel your pain. I remember looking at the beautiful photos they have on their site and drooling over some of the shots. To me, it's not just the money (which is not by any means insignificant) but the whole disappointment as a new set of wheels is something I very much look forward to, like a kid in a candy store. I guess what I am saying is that it would hurt me more than, say, simply having $3500 stolen or being ripped off when buying furniture. Hope that you manage get you money back. Have you tried contacting the bank regarding a charge-back?

Interesting, another wheel company cannibalizing on it's customers. I bought some Vossen's from D2 back a few years ago, no problems then all I can say.

I understand. All I can say is that they are inconsistent -- its like gambling. I will not put ADV.1 wheels on any of my cars ever again. Why spend that much money on something that is unsure, they are just big headed; thinking they are ahead of the wheels game. Plus their retail price is way more than HREs

Awesome video... it's always interesting to watch HRE manufacturing process, makes me proud to own their wheels.
