D2 Wheels - STAY AWAY!
Have bit my tongue on my experience with D2 for the past 6 months as I was hoping for a satisfactory result but I'm done being nice. They are completely unprofessional and perhaps even criminal. I'll keep this brief as I would like people to actually read the thread rather than skip over it.
Ordered a set of CV2 wheels on Jan 27. Put a deposit of $3500 down on an approximately $8000 order and was told it would take 6 weeks. Called March 1st and was told it would be end of March. Called at end of March and after several no answers and unanswered emails was told it would be be late April.
Called again in late April and was told they were almost done but wheels were damaged and it would take another couple of weeks. Called again in mid May and was told first week of June.
By this point I was done but I was assured by Derick that the wheels would be done by first week of July. I reluctantly agreed to wait yet again. Of course I called and was informed the wheels were still not done.
At that point I demanded a full refund as it has now been 6 months for a set of wheels!!! After three days of chasing them I finally received a credit memo via email. The problem is, my credit card has still not been refunded and it's been over 10 days.
In addition to all of the above, they rarely answer the phone. They rarely answer emails. They rarely return calls. The exception seems to be when they take your initial order and deposit.
At this point I have no other option but to have my lawyer deal with this. I can't explain what a frustrating and disappointing experience D2 Wheels has been. I encourage anyone who is considering purchasing wheels from them to contact me. I would be happy to provide documentation backing up my complaints.

OOh man, I'm so sorry. I am dealing with a wheel issue myself since February/March. I have also kept biting my tongue up until now and am hanging on to one more promise until I unleash hell. I am sorry to hear the crap you have been going through. I hope these people get dragged through the mud and then get a nice healthy dose of KARMA....

Sorry to hear about your experience.
This is why we pride ourselves on only dealing with the TOP premier wheel companies. When we say premier, it's not based upon all the hype that forums produce, but premier as in companies we KNOW that will stand by there work and most of all there words.
WOW!!! 6 months later and still no wheels. As a retailer, we start getting on manufactures *** at about 5 weeks....lol
We are truly sorry for your experience and hope this matter will be resolved soon.

You could get a set of HREs for less. Crazy. That is the danger with going with a 'newer' wheel company that is more flash (ie. nice photoshoots on internet forums) than substance. Can't say I'm surprised and if anything I'm shocked that people continue to fork over big money to companies without any sort of real reputation/heritage.

I called the DR2 people this week. The person on the other end of the phone sounded like he was part of a gang and talked to me with more slang and teenager talk than a confused Justin Bieber. When I asked the price of the wheels he said 5,000+.
It was pretty obvious that this is not someone I'd give $50 too let alone $5,000.
So this thread doesn't surprise me much.
Sorry to hear. I suggest skipping the bull and go straight to legal action. Legality scares unprofessional/shady people.

There is also a current post on the Corvette forums where a member bought a set of chrome D2 wheels and has had no luck getting D2 to respond to getting them fixed, etc. Apparently they are also no longer a sponsor there (not sure why) and it's unfortunate that this happens to people who spend tons of money on their hobbies and passion.

is this another wheel company where the pics are so brilliant that they lure buyers in? I wish wheel companies would show more about their business model in general: service, marketing, facilities, fabrication process, staff, etc.

We aren't trying to advertise, just feel really bad about what happen with him and D2. NO, we are definitely not associate with the sale of the D2 wheels and nor do will we ever associate ourselves with D2.
Sorry everyone for trying to seem like we are advertising to this guy. We apologize for the misconception.
Thank you

1) i was going to argue the looks over performance theory.....but nevermind
2) a lot of people buy more than 1 set of wheels for their car over the time they own it . i think it's pretty easy to get to $15k on this car . you should raise that to $20k
